And whilst the mainstream media may be focused on Afghanistan at the moment, the health press is reporting another surge in hospitalised numbers over the weekend, and those needing the most critical care, which means that numbers have essential plateaued in July/August, rather than falling as SAGE predicted - and we have September rapidly approaching, when schools and universities will reopen.

As I pointed out long ago (and was shouted down by the usual suspects) the use of copper (and other metal) nanoparticles as antibacterial and antiviral agents isn't new - it's been around for a number of years, including in fabrics used in hospitals. What was different about this technology was the method of nanoparticle production.

It's not just the diagnostics industry - the same is happening in healthcare. I've probably had as many approaches in the last 6 months as I've had in the previous 5 years.

Luckily, I can afford to be choosy and have been upfront about what I want by way of a package, which has helped weed out the timewasters. There's one interesting opportunity that's currently bubbling in the background.

Looking at the news, it appears that vacancies are at an all time high generally - but I'm not sure how many of those are seasonal vacancies in agriculture and food processing that were previously filled by EU citizens who aren't coming/have left post Brexit. I know that farmer in East Anglia and Lincolnshire are desperate for staff but people don't want to do the work (they see it as beneath them).

I'm not sure that increasing his involvement in the management of the company is a good idea, if his performance as a director to date is anything to go by. He should concentrate on the lab work...

Basically a tacit admission they weren't able to sell an antiviral mask in the middle of a pandemic. All the other things are all very well and good - but it's very much a 'jam tomorrow' RNS that doesn't inspire confidence.

Over on the BRH board, StarKnight reckons that setting up a diagnostic testing company isn't complicated at all and that my suggestion that:

My day job is running clinical services. I don't think you have any idea of what the regulatory requirements are and just how complicated it can get. I do.

I'm not a "...really worried ODX investor..." at all. I'm a supremely chilled ODX investor. And if you look back through my posts on BRH, you'll find I'm an extremely chilled BRH investor as well, who recouped his capital thanks to the RMS-related special dividend and who is now on a free ride.

Our current facility is in Littleport, just north of Ely. The Cambridge facility isn't up and running yet.

And Sajid Javid has fixed the price of an NHS provided travel test at £68 per test...

...but then the DHSC website only provides links to private companies charging much more than that, as the NHS isn't routinely offering travel testing.

And now it appears there was another 'VIP lane' for those companies seeking authorisation to provide travel testing. More corruption from the Tories.

Yes. We're getting ****y and that will come back to bite us. Just as it did a century ago (as those of you who know your history of the Spanish 'flu will be aware) - it will just be worse, due to the greater ease of travel.

I'm not, as you suggest, a "self appointed arbitor of information" - just someone who likes information to be clear, which the tweet I was referring to wasn't.

That was nothing to do with TB but the hubris of a group of PIs who thought they knew how to run RMS better. Now they are reaping what they sowed, with a board that appears incapable of getting the product to market in bulk and some distributors who appear to be little more than barrow boys. Problem is, they shafted a lot of other PIs with their antics...

That only applies to certain groups of key workers in England. And not all people in those groups.

That tweet suggests DHSC has given Mologic EUA - it hasn't. Neither has the EU.

The reason we're in such a mess is the corruption that is rife in this government, which has undermined the processes that are supposed to protect against it. The mainstream media, with its client journalists, turns a blind eye.

it comes down to public interest groups like the GLP (and the GLP isn't the only organisation involved in this work) to take on the government over their corrupt practices...

...corrupt practices that are undermining British companies and British success, and costing British lives.
