Not quite. The Mologic/Visitect Triple Antibody test detects more antibodies (IgM, IgG, IgA) against Cellex's two (IgG, IgM) but the UK-RTC test only looks at one antibody - IgG.

That said, the UK-RTC test will still be more useful than the Cellex test.

The Cellex test really isn't a threat. It's sensitivity and specificity is relatively poor (https://www.fda.gov/media/136625/download)

The 500k (or is it 1 million, or another random figure plucked out of the air by Hattie Manc0ck, the Bloviating Buffoon or Dildo Harding when questioned?) is the total theoretical capacity across all testing pillars and types - molecular, antigen and antibody.

At present, there are only c. 5,000 antibody tests being done each day (using the somewhat second rate Fortress test). There has to be significant growth in this area in order to enable:

(a) wider reopening of businesses; and
(b) at the appropriate time, the roll out of any vaccine.

At present, there is only one antibody test that meets the standard - the UK-RTC AbC19 test.

The government (and in particular Cummings) are blinded by tech - they love anything that goes ping. It doesn't matter if it works...

The RNS was correctly worded. RNS are there to inform shareholders and the market about all relevant aspects - both positive and potentially negative.

If people understand the development process for these sort of tests, which they should if they've done the basic research they should do before investing in these type of stocks, then they'd know that the RNS was actually a positive RNS.

These sorts of stocks aren't for day traders who want to make a quick profit. They're for long term holders who see the value in the long term.

Seems like a sensible idea as hospital’s can use them 24/7 on admitted patients on a regular basis, which they’ll need to do given the internal environment within the hospital. These machines will help fill the hole that some hospitals have in testing capacity (some are OK) and will provide some additional capacity for the second wave, when testing demand will increase. The reality is, though, unless the capacity of the machines can be increased (i.e. the test time reduced) they're little more than an interim fix.

They're a symptom of this government's obsession with everything that goes 'ping'. What the experts are advising them to do is concentrate on the getting the basics right, and to invest in low tech high output solutions - e.g. the sort of self-use LFTs that UK-RTC/Mologic/ODX do so well. It's no use having a few thousand machines that can do 16 tests a day each when you need to be doing a million tests plus a day.

One of my favourites. When I was out in Lebanon a few years ago I took a trip out to the Beqaa Valley for a visit. I got a tour and lunch from Gaston Hochar (the younger).

Oh bless.... I should point out that my day job is negotiating and managing multiple-million £ contracts for clinical services . This stuff is my bread and butter.

Your 'facts' fall somewhat flat as you appear to have failed to take into account that ODX do not 'own' the UK-RTC tests. We are simply one manufacturer in a consortium. We won't be selling them - CIGA will, on behalf of the consortium. The consortium will decide where any extra capacity goes.
