During the Covid crisis, the independent hospital sector handed over their facilities to the NHS. This was on the basis of a national NHS Covid Contract (and amended version of the NHS Standard Contract). The handover started in April but the Contract wasn't actually finalised and signed until august.

Openness and transparency don't go with this government... lies and spin are more their thing.

I’m not going to bother discussing this further as clearly don’t get it.

They don't use the word 'may' anywhere in their RNS. The use of the word 'could' is perfectly understandable in the relevant sentence.

The simple fact is it's not a test. They're talking about developing reagents that will be used by other companies to develop tests. It doesn't follow the same sort of verification or validation process, as it's not being rolled out for use in the same way as a test.

Fundamentally, people have misunderstood the RNS and conflated the development of antigens that will be used to develop tests with the tests themselves.

Neither really. It will have already been factored into the share price when the allocation RNS was issued.

I don't think it is ambiguous. They've been clear what the development is, what their next steps are and how this will impact going forward. It appears a lot of people on Twitter have misunderstood what Fusion Antibodies actually does and that's led to new investors diving in...

Unfortunately, this is likely to end quite painfully for some people.

What good news has yet to filter to the media? The RNS was overall positive but hardly earthshattering... I'd expect a small to modest rise.

Instead we got people failing to read the RNS properly , failing to understand what it actually said and going bonkers on Twitter.

The Fusions RNS could have been expected to lead to a small increase in the SP. Overall, it was a positive RNS, with some interesting foresight content.

But people failed to read the RNS properly and went bonkers on Twitter, thinking they'd come up with a test when they hadn't.

People need to learn to read an RNS. Fusion Antibodies DOES NOT have an antibody test. It creates the reagents used by other companies/researchers to develop antigen and antibody tests.

I think people may have misread their RNS. They don't have a test - they create the reagents used in tests.

Did you have a positive Covid test at the time? The reason I ask is that I've heard that they're restricting the wider antibody testing to those people who have had Covid confirmed by a molecular test. Not sure whether that's correct but it wouldn't surprise me.

The UK-RTC test is an antibody test. It won't have an impact on hospitalisations and mortality. That's the role of antigen and molecular testing.

What antibody testing will do in the short term, before a vaccine is available, is enable those who has previously been infected to to return to work/school etc.

Mologic are a dark horse here because they have a fantastic team of capable experts driven by tackling the pandemic and providing solutions, and not by profit. Omega's involvement is a bit of a hybrid of that because we get the benefit of their work to take into commercial distribution."

No. I'm just pointing out that the Mologic/Visitect Triple Antibody Test looks at three antibodies (IgG, IgM, IgA) whereas the UK-RTC antibody test looks at one antibody (IgG), which is what the UK-RTC consortium was tasked to develoip. Different designs. Both with excellent S&S.
