Not what we were hoping for as Biswas has down played us rather than “crowing” about us - that may be tactical or just that we are yet to move up the pecking order. But the gold et al is still there and is being developed with intentions to mine productively within 2-3 years. Meanwhile Scally and other resources can be proved up - much to be positive about but this may be slightly longer to reach utopia than some were hoping for - all IMHO and keep the faith Greatlanders!!!

Rob - it’s not opinion that will be called out - it is lack of substance behind a comment, particularly when it smacks more of mischief making than anything to do with fact. When Paddy or Magic make comments they support it with facts that readers can verify - why should you be any different?

My take Rob is don’t expect to come on the Board (or any Board for that matter) to sow seeds of discontent when you (or Mufcm) are less knowledgeable than our hardcore posters and not get called out. If you have something to say that is based on fact rather than what ifs or maybe’s then fair enough. Otherwise those not even invested who come on to spout rubbish, will get noticed and challenged.

Come on peeps enough already!! You’re talking as though GH/CB and our BoD are novices and naive in what they are doing here. Since when do we have to lose faith in them. Are they not doing a fantastic job on building a £billion Company for their shareholders? Why would they not conduct due diligence on all parties they do business with? Do they not know everything being spouted on here about JPM plus a hell of a lot more. Trust is a big word but it is needed especially when dealing with AIM Companies. If GH/CB and the BoD are out to shaft their loyal shareholders, they will do it without JPM, so come on either believe and trust in them to do a thoroughly professional job (as they have so far) or let your imaginations and insecurities take you down a slippery slope towards believing that they will naively allow JPM to undo all the good the have done. Can we put JPM Gate to bed now and get back to fact rather than supposition!!

Quite right Blingy and Shaa - who’s to say when we will have our day in the sun - PB was no amateur and similarly DW knows his stuff in negotiating on our behalf - sometimes you just have to trust in the professionalism of those who headed this all up - VGLA!!!

Great posts Phron, Jiddy, Blingy and great to hear from Mickey again as well - it ain’t over till the fat lady sings and remembering Eagle Ford was no overnight success, then PB’s legacy here may yet prove to come to fruition - VGL to all true 88ers!!!

Call me old fashioned Desmond but don’t you think it is a bit of a ruddy cheek to come on to a Board you are no longer invested in, to ridicule a long term investor (Phron) and generally diss the share just because you have realised a paper loss into an actual loss (boo hoo) - why don’t you stick to Boards you have some skin left in and do us all a favour!!

I know we focus mainly on Gold but just been reading up on the Copper market and thought I would share:-
Copper futures prices are close to $3 per pound as of Tuesday on the back of a surge in Chinese imports and worries about supply from South America. In March copper traded below $2 levels akin to the global financial crisis in 2008/09, but has now recovered by nearly 50%.
China is responsible for more than half the world’s copper consumption and imported 50% more in June at 656k tonnes than in May. There is no lack of demand for copper for manufacturing but there is a shortage of supply (e.g. the world’s No. 2 producer Peru suffered a 40% fall in output in May).
Finally to add to the perfect storm brewing for copper, hedge fund positioning in the copper market is at its most bullish in 2 years. Hedge funds are building long positions and cut shorts as they are betting that copper will trade at much higher levels in the future.
What a great time to be discovering copper (as well as Gold!!) - perfect storm imho - VGLA Greatlanders!!!

It is so sad to see an opportunity that once shone so brightly, to now be so in the doldrums. I can understand why s/holders vent their angst on DW as after all the buck stops with him. But as I’ve said before with the XCD deal done, if we need someone to negotiate a FO deal then not many do it as well as DW. I hope he isn’t just lining his own pockets and that he has some real altruistic intent on behalf of the long suffering lthers - I hope we see some news of this shortly and 88E achieves its potential. I have used some big words here so that Donald Trump won’t understand and come in with his unwanted negativity. Slightly left field but has anyone noticed the “howlers” that Rio have been making with the indigenous population in Aus recently? Last week they blew up caves containing centuries of historical value stating they thought they had permission and today just read that they put the territory of Nhulunbuy into 17 hours of darkness and no power for homes or businesses. This is causing great distress to the indigenous tribes and something not to take lightly if you wish to buy/drill their land. From what I can see GGP and NCM have paid the proper respect so far and long may it continue - just hope Rio do not spoil it for the rest of us!!!

Yes Paddy - we won Rudall on ballot which 20km south of Hav and closer to Telfer in a vastly underexplored area where GH is looking for more Hav type results. We also have heritage clearance to start drilling in Scally in next 4-6 weeks moving on to Paterson East Range which includes Goliath. Next news is likely to be from Newcrest but Gervaise is lining up newsflows thereafter from these new and exciting drills - Wowzer - what a CEO and BoD - they are trying their best for us all!!!!
