Interesting read. I suppose the moral of the story is know what you're investing in. Around 90% of AIM companies are loss making, a lot will fall by the wayside.
As for LTIPs, most AIM companies, and indeed larger companies, use them as part of their renumeration package. Yes, it looks bad on the surface but when you look at the difference between an AIM company and a FTSE 350 company, the risk associated with working for such a company becomes apparent. Of course, the targets are just there to pacify private investors. However, I'd very surprised if Paul was required to meet anywhere near all five targets as the shares will automatically vest upon a sale of the company.

SEE, I believe it was Paul Mc, has already said that SEE is funded (I believe) for the next two years and that any further fund raise will be taken off the table in perpetuity following one of a number of licensing deals now being discussed. So, I think the prospect you talk of is probably due to the smoke that's got in your eyes.

The hefty placing was required otherwise, from memory, SEE would have run out of money by June /July. It's open to question whether so much was required or at one go but even at the time, Ken stated breakeven would not happen until 2023 but he quickly backtracked from that, I think he realised he was going too far.
Hence, the cut price placement, badly handled by Ken, Jack (very quiet) and others with a number paying the price, be it for the placement or TFD.

I agree, 25%would be testing for a FTSE main market company but apparently SEE is £156 million AIM growth stock whose SP high, admittedly pre dilution, is only just below the target set for 5 years time. 15p as a bare minimum next July would be more applicable and still not testing if you believe there is an RNS that will take any future fund raise off the table.

SEE should just have been upfront and given the shares away as usual. At least that would have been honest ie shareholders done over as usual.
