RE: Semicast15 Sep 2018 01:50
So, we have a poster who has been negative on SEE since the share price went into reverse and we have an analyst, whose knowledge of the market must be far greater than anyone on here as regards the market and some agree with the disgruntled private investor.
An analyst who called ARM right as the chip to go to and was then sold for 17 times the SP prior to his analysis, spends his working life (and he seems to put the hours in) analysing the market,so must have a fair idea of the going price for 'niche' products and then some question his determination of the price for the BdMS after he quoted prices paid for similar niche products in the sector.
At present, and likely to remain so, the number of units for the entire market is not likely to be more than a few thousand, possibly nearer a thousand. However there is a need for the product, hence the price to reflect the low number to be produced and therefore the high (per unit) design costs. Just like any precious commodity, it is reflected in the cost. Considering the low numbers likely, why would SEE sell something in such numbers for only a relatively low price? It's hardly likely, that from scratch, any other concern could do it for less and also have it ready.
So, I'm going with Semicast. Even $100,000 seems reasonable!
