Terry If you read the Smarteye forum, the impression I get is they believe their product is the best so I doubt there will be many króna invested in SEE just now. I think the only way that would happen is if it became clear SEE was winning the majority or all of the Big 9. I'm sure for now SEYE will win some design wins (Geely for example) but as it's the case that SEE & SEYE are way ahead of any other solution, with SEYE having nothing comparable to our R&D engine (Guardian) the gap between our offerings will widen further.

Obviously our concentration is on the present and near future (and we may attract bids in the next year) but with SEE's R&D engine continuously improving the performance of Fovio, how long before performance of the SEE & SEYE offerings becomes so big that cost becomes secondary? Would insurance discounts be reflected in premiums required for a particular model lead to OEM's opting for the best performing offering, with any increase in cost covered by a reduction in insurance premiums?

Klick And just how big is the BdMS market? Semicast has it at 2,000. But what about Waymo's taxi fleet with 62,000, to be delivered over three years by FCA? These 'autonomous' vehicles, with a chaperone, you would expect to be treated exactly the same as the test fleets. Or am I missing something?

Fonzoo Yes, SEE should be more vocal and, at least on this BB, most PIs are aware how good Fovio is. Maybe it's not the PIs that are the problem but IIs for all their knowledge, SEE and it's chip have yet to register?

Wasn't the original Super Cruise via Takata? And if FCA have gone for both SEE and SEYE with Aptiv, isn't it just an indicator that Takata (or the new owners) are no longer in the loop? After all SEE is with 6 Tier 1's so Aptiv may be one of them?

SW ASP for @seeingmachines is understood to be closer to ~US$20 (higher performance, optical flow expertise, Fovio etc). S2020 The post said it was worthy of an RNS, that's what I was querying! I'd agree it's not feasible that no direct sales are likely in FY19 unless somehow transitioned to the new model. It needs clarity that's for sure. It definitely has the feel of lowering expectations. Assuming a new CAT style agreeing looks the best way forward, further information again would be helpful. SEE having lessons in managing expectations also wouldn't go amiss!

Has SEE signed a contract with New Zealand with the aim of installing 2,000 Guardian units? Previously, an RNS was issued when the number of units 'bought' was (around) 1,000 units or more. When did it change to a country basis and aimed for units?
