In a nutshell, Fleet is just falling into line with all the other parts of the business, SEE is not a manufacturer or distributor anymore (did it ever seriously see it's future that way?) purely an IP provider in the form of a chip (provided by Xilinx) with a continuously improving algorithm courtesy of the data provided by Fleet customers. Existing stock, if not now BdMS, to be run down, then outsourcing the whole manufacture/distribution thus significantly reducing overheads /outlay while increasing margins also significantly. Leaving SEE to concentrate on what it is good at.
The sign of good management is to learn from mistakes and also take the positives from that situation. Maybe the Fleet situation just fast tracked what was always likely to be the business model for all the business.
Revenue isn't everything after all.
