Looks like volume is picking up a bit, maybe FOMO, but who knows?

It’s up to each individual what they believe or don’t believe. Nobody should be investing money on anything on anyone else’s say so. It’s already up over 300% this year, so, depending on your time frame, you could have done very well. You could also be down. That’s how the stock market works.

Bloomberg have released a note on THG and its proposed takeover.

I’m it, it said that it would probably be more valuable if broken up, and also that using peers comparable for beauty, would give 0.8x2023 EV/sales online specialists average.

I know this might not mean much when there aren’t any up to date figures to work with, but maybe of interest to any number crunchers or maybe something to keep in mind when (if!) we get an update.

Some people take their profits and wish everyone well for the future, thankful that they made some money.

Some hang around like a bad smell, posting guff.

I know which one I prefer. These boards are an indication of the terrible state our society is in.

I have just under 40,000 shares here, so probably not a massive amount in the big scheme of things. I suppose it is a lot for anyone holding from much higher levels though.

I’m 52 in the Summer, so if I could get my mortgage paid off I’d be able to retire. I’m fortunate that I was medically retired from the fire service at 44, with a condition that doesn’t affect me at all, but precluded me from wearing breathing apparatus. I currently work 3 days a week.

I wouldn’t have a mortgage either, if I hadn’t been divorced twice.

I hope I’m not naive in believing that the next news will be outstanding for shareholders and we can all have a right good laugh at the last nine months.

Or that if we get to £2.45 I can retire.

I think we were all naive, I thought the initial suspension would be two weeks at most, and they would hit both given deadlines afterwards.

I’m that naive I check for an RNS every morning.

People won’t give two hoots about anything other than the diamonds have been secured. What happens then can take however long it takes. That alone will negate 90% of the trolls, until they regroup to attack from a different angle.

On the 2nd August RNS the company stated it was in around 15,000 stores worldwide. How many more have been added since then? I think a lot!

Warpaint strong again today, and now almost twice it’s year low and around year highs. It’s maybe not comparing eggs with eggs, but anything under 50p here will be a travesty (barring any accounting nightmares), well, excepting the nightmare accounting.

I hope it opens at £2 and never drops below it. Sorry!

I’m fully expecting this to be back trading by the end of next week.

I think they were very close to making the April deadline, which is why the RNS was not at 07:00 on Friday.

What do I know though? Nothing, exactly the same as everyone else debating a word used in an announcement.

We will find out, hopefully soon. And as someone said previously, if the next RNS blows our socks off, the only one’s caring will be the trolls.

I’ve just emailed investor relations and asked for my message to be passed to Bob Holt.

There’s no way that will happen, but I feel a little bit better.

I wonder how much the management team will award themselves with bonuses when all this is resolved?

An absolute disgrace. There better be prosecutions over this and never use that useless auditor again after this.

It does look like it was close, but that does not excuse missing another self imposed deadline.

The only other scenario I can think of is that they are so close to finalising that it might be today. If not, then they must be near.

I don’t believe he holds any shares, just another troll trying to spread misinformation. Even if he does hold, nothing is stopping him from selling.
