In fact RG the shorters needed to buy in order to close their shorts. Them doing so rapidly assisted the SP in clawing its way up.
You make good points regarding the shorters. Many place their saving with such Companies "where there's muck etc"

Why do people here ask advice of strangers when it's not difficult to find a factually correct answer by DYOR.
The individual asked on this occasion does to his credit respond acknowledging a lack of expertise. He also if memory serves me correct explained approx 12 months ago that he was quite new to investing.
When you are investing surely it's imperative to be correctly informed. Therefore once again DYOR. Then if it goes pear shaped you only have yourself to blame.

We are looking at a typical case of it always being the others fault.
Our fault we invested in our 500 year old history yes. But strangely despite what's being said by the Union member. I don't see shareholders wringing their hands and blaming others for their own decisions.
I'm a shareholder and wasn't forced to invest. To be honest I'm not in the least concerned about the SP.
I believe it wil right itself eventually. Should it not, then it's down to me. Would quite simply be a case of making a poor choice.

Also hear shareholders this that and the other. Shareholders take risks often with their life savings. Some here may already have lost a good percentage of their investment.
Remember many are ordinary working men and women who are just trying to provide for their old age.
You put in a day's work for an agreed sum. When you accepted the position you knew what the salary was. You now want more than the Company are prepared to pay. If you don't consider it sufficient move on. Surely another Company will pay you what your worth, won't they????

Why do the the Company not buy loads more as buyback?they stipulated when the period would close and its got over two weeks yet? Can't be bothered to check my figures but recall they hadn't reached the volume that was discussed.

HH. Sounds exactly right "a good group" Maybe a job that's meant for physically fit people. There are many such jobs so it's not that RMG are exceptional in those requirements.
It's not a question either of what RMG can afford after all how many large companies look at the bank statement and increase salaries accordingly.
If you were asked in a private conversation, all things considered has your salary and terms increased reasonably over the years. Of course you may answer No! because most employees want more but honestly???
If the answer is No! It begs the question why are you and your mates still there? Why have you accepted less than you "know" your worth over these past years.?

Not everyone would see a rock bottom SP as a bad thing.
Many will relish this scenario. They load to the gunnels, DK could easily increase his holding, shorts get closed etc.
Shorts closing en masse also have a desirable effect, in that SP rises. Then of course whatever the outcome the strike is over, we have clarity, SP rises maybe as last time around when it moved up very quickly, approx 124p - 600p

Crystal. I have absolutely no desire to spend here currently. It only needs CWU to confirm a high turnout for striking if that's the case. Last time around though the high turnout was beaten in court by RMG arguing there were irregularities. I don't get any indication that the Leopards are changing their spots so history repeats itself.
On balance I believe more chance of a drop in near future. Just ensure you keep connected. She has the ability to move quite quickly for a 500 year old girl.
