Actually that's exactly what I do. I read what's written e g. From Oli, " be available to work longer or shorter as the workload dictates. This could be 32 hours in the summer months " Hence comment that more hours home in summer.

It's indeed a conundrum. Maybe enough workers will find the flexi arrangement suits them and the scheme can be adopted.
Perhaps the managers being aware how bolshy the workforce are ;-) put forward proposals with the knowledge that they will need to adjust the finer detail later.
I would move heaven and Earth to get a done deal. The alternative could well be DK. I can't imagine that's a better option.

Oli. Thank you, I wondered where the 5.5% came into the equation. Ok accepted it's 5.5% in an ideal World. However I imagine there would be good grounds for discussion later were it found to be totally out of whack.
I would jump at the chance of more family time during the hot summer. In exchange for longer winter hours. The offer of a standard 37 hour payment in exchange for adjustment as described would suit me. Of course it could be difficult for others but family life has long needed to accommodate working hours. It's part of the trade off when we decide to have kids.

Thank you for the detailed reply. I have asked the CEO to respond as I said I would. Obviously in anticipation of a reply I will post full details.
I noted that P58 was not 100% clear on information he provided "and the final 2% i am led to believe" so hopefully with responses from such as yourself and some further digging, we may clarify details and see if the Company are being reasonable. Obviously also taking into consideration they have many mouths to feed.

I'm sure we all require clarification as to what exactly is being offered. What does immediately come to mind though is that it's not entirely clear that you know exactly what's offered.
However I shall endeavour to get some clarity.

I would see that as a positive.
The CEO is paid to produce results and the tenure of employment should be adjusted accordingly.
I would imagine RMG would tax even the best CEO. It must be nigh on impossible to be fully aware and places a great deal of reliance on underlings. From what you report that reliance is misplaced.
Personally I doubt replacing the CEO is the answer.

If you don't want the increase either ask advice from management as to a method of returning it. Failing that send the excess to me :-(
Of course inefficiency and wastage should concern everyone. I would imagine there are various avenues whereby these issues may be reported.
If you are genuinely concerned (I have no reason to believe otherwise) Surely it's easier to improve things from within.

Isle. I understand what it takes to be a successful CEO and they deserve a salary that reflects that.
As for managers missing their targets. Could the same not be said for the general workforce? after all Ofcom aren't happy.
Shareholders have invested a fortune in RMG from the outset and many under water currently.
You provide the Company with labour at a predetermined remuneration. This has always been paid as agreed.
The Company scribes have calculated a return to Shareholders. They have also calculated a staff wage increase.
Both shareholders and staff have an option to accept the award or terminate the agreement.
Would be interesting if shareholders behaved as you do. Throw their dummies and withdraw all investment unless they got more.
If you believe your irreplaceable why not resign and see what happens?

A large percentage of the population leave school asap take menial work and slowly improve their lot during their lifetime.
Another smaller percentage go on to further education, maybe also graduate University.
The result is usually reflected in lifetime working income.
Why begrudge an individual that's made sacrifices to improve themselves?

It helps when considering what's reasonable to be aware of averages.
I hope everyone agrees that a fair wage should be paid in all circumstances. Of course a CEO gets the big bucks because they usually have abilities others don't. There are exceptions of course.

There's not a possibility of anyone Knowing what the SP wil be doing in the future. It's all guesses or calculated guesses.
Wasn't that long ago a poster here was using their superior skillset to predict the SP around £8.00.
This board is sometimes a provider of very useful information. But when an individual becomes a self appointed advisor, treat their opinions as just that, opinions.
Best advice here is DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
