not pleased. - We all more or less knew that forecast had been met. - Regarding 2018 forecast, surely the best indicator of expectations is the 4th qtr. which includes the 2nd crusher. - On this basis we should be producing north of 600k oz. - For me at any rate something doesn't add-up here. - I'm a believer in tactics and a strategy of delivery but this new forecast for me is being overly conservative, - The current SP says it all, it's pathetic and once the new forecast is absorbed by the market it might even struggle to maintain this level. - IMO. - Let's hope I'm wrong.

Given that 2017 forecast contained, due to foreseeable restrictions, a low first-half, I would have thought that 2018 forecast would be based upon second-half production which of course includes a second crusher. - If 550-560 turns out to be correct, then something doesn't add-up in my book.

If it is good news tomorrow, let's hope for once that we can be rewarded with a sustained uplift in the SP. In recent times it hasn't happened, let's hope for better this time around.

Amazing that on the eve of what is expected to be good news, the SP get's hammered. - OK the miners are down today but Centamin, at the time of posting, more than it's peers.- Why should that be?

Did we actually achieve 551,036 oz in 2016 against a forecast 0f 470,00 ? - I must have missed something along the line. - If so, 2016 production was actually greater than the forecast for 2017. - I'm getting a little confused here I think. - Mind you, not to difficult these days.

Razor - hi If the company officially confirms the rumoured forecast figure, then my fear would be an adverse reaction. - Obviously we'll have to wait until an official forecast is announced. - It's interesting that Alharam recently reported a figure of 551036oz for 2016. This figure was clearly wrong and in my post of Dec. 30th highlighted this apparent mistake wondering if they were confusing16 with 17. If they were, how could they know at that time what the production figure for 2017 actually was? - I believe there is some bad/speculative reporting taking place..

If Siko's info turns out to be correct and I emphasise if, then that is most underwhelming. - I was expecting more ambition and more boldness in the forecast. - I could be wrong but I don't think the market will take too kindly to the news. - If it's correct!

There seems to be no such thing as bad-news now on Wall |St. - Disappointing NFP news that hitherto would have triggered an adverse reaction is just taken in it's onwards and upwards relentless stride. - Amazing.

Cowichan - hi Did you use the same 86% recovery rate as Siko did?

Robbie - hi It always amazes me that the professionals who cover the share never seem to be up with events. - They write appraisals based on old out-dated news and feed it to the investing public as a current dynamic analysis.- - Take the wobbly 2nd quarter, flagged-up by the company as part of their forecasting along with rational explanation and yet when it happened it spooked the market along with disquiet expressed by said professionals. - We actually never really recovered from that episode.

Productivity markedly up since the new crusher came into play. - As Robbie has already indicated, using the new throughput as a guide makes 2018 look very interesting indeed.

Somnamna - Something for you to try on your sharescope charts. - Plot using a thick/bold line. - a 200month moving average, that would be 4000 days - When a share has entered this zone it really has been crunched. It's amazing though how many quality companies you can find here. - I find it a useful and effective filter. I particularly look out for double-bottoms, in the context of the SP that is, it can prove to be a good place to fish.

Unless I've missed it, I haven't seen any news about bank-bonus-payments this year. - I'm wondering if they daren't publicise them. - Or, am I a bit premature?
