Cowichan hi I know I've already made this point but I'll repeat it. - From the Annual Report. - They have identified 7 potential prospects which are located beyond the 3km Sukari area and into the 160sq km area under dispute - They state that their plans for 2018 involve planning for this asset. They also state that these 7 identified areas are all within trucking distance of the Sukari plant, which would allow the Sukari plant to process the mined material. - Now to me that's exciting, it's a big-deal. -However, I suspect that unless L32 or the cc are resolved, they will not take the risk in developing these areas. - I should think that certainty will be a prime requisite for proceeding. - So you see we really are hamstrung here in every which way and from every direction. - There is also another big problem. - If we lose the court case and are left with just the 3km of Sukari we are still in deep s*it, because, the tailings dam extends beyond the 3km limits..

Hi Cowichan Centamin is fast becoming a share for the top directors rather than the shareholders. - It might be frustration talking but, at times, it seems to me that the rewards are all going one way, to them. - OK there's the good dividend, but there's plenty of shares you can invest in that are paying a good dividend. - I believe the majority of us are in the share for the growth prospects. - When you read through the Annual Report you will see their remuneration is quite lucrative. - The shares they hold are awarded to them free of charge. Performance bonuses linked to meeting forecasts, hence the low-bar increases they forecast for 2018, virtually guaranteeing they will be met, but forecasts that do not excite the market and therefore doing nothing for the SP. - I'll stop there I think before I depress myself. - I think might be getting frustrated. - Just to add to my depressing post, I feel any appeal from shareholders concerning buybacks or anything else for that matter will be totally ignored. - I don't think we count that much.

Wall St taking a hit at opening. - Down over 1%. - The plunge-protection-team will be getting into their wet-suits as I post. :-)

Somnamna - hi - Yes indeed 'The man on the train' was always a welcoming post wasn't it. - When everyone's in a panic Tibbs would seek clarification from his contacts and deliver his 'Man on the train', usually resulting in the restoration of calm. :-) - The old-school appreciated that, others didn't understand.

My understanding is that Mr Tibbs will definitely not return. - I think the most recent vindictive/rude posts aimed at him at a personal level, made him decide to call it a day. - Understandable perhaps when you consider the weight of his contribution over the years and the number of man hours alone he put into keeping the thread going.. - He remains a conviction Centamin investor, he hasn't sold up and intends to maintain this position for the foreseeable future. - I believe it is also his intention to start a Mr Tibbles website/blog, whereby friends and fellow travellers will still be able to share/communicate their common interests. - So, watch this space. cheers.

Hi guys - Usually the SP recovers quite quickly from the post dividend fall. - Even the huge special divi. last year, the SP was back to pre-divi levels within a couple of weeks. - It's why I've described it as a 'shot to nowt'.

Surprised at the apparent lack of interest in Centamin. - The chance to pick-up a free 5% seems to have been overlooked. - A free punt, a shot for nowt. - What is the world coming to?|

I echo all that has been said here about Mr Tibbs and I feel they are genuine reflections of gratitude, respect and affection.

I must say I was expecting a little more interest in CEY. - Buy in the next couple of days and secure a 5% divi. - OK, it'll drop back afterwards but usually recovers it's pre dividend price within a week or two or three.

Correction: - There are seven other prospects that have been identified within the 160km tenement which are close enough, such that ore could be trucked to the existing Sukari processing plant.. No exploration drilling was completed here. However, a review has commenced with the objective of outlining new exploration plans for 2018. I would suggest that it is vital for a satisfactory conclusion to the cc, in order for theses new plans to commence. - It seems to me there is a pressing urgency now.

I note that seven exploration drilling sites beyond Sukari and extending into the 160km contracted area are all within trucking distance of the Sukari plant. - I suppose, in a way, they are taking a chance here, gambling on the expectations of winning the cc. - It demonstrates the importance of certainty going forward. - It needs sorting urgently.

Whilst shareholders may be getting a little frustrated about their returns, top directors will surely have a smile on their face. Josef El-Raghy's salary of $687,735 was boosted by benefits, bonuses and pension contributions to $1,704,196 Andrew Pardey's salary of �638,143 was boosted by benefits bonuses and LTI's to $3,096,791 - wow! No pain there then.

Bearing in mind that Centamin is heavily pregnant with a 5%dividend. - Post-natal we could see an even slimmer share price. - It's hurting just now and the logic of it all flies in the face of fundamental investing. IMO.

Think about it. - A currency back on the gold-standard. - Yer can't print more without balancing it with an established equal value of gold. - The balance scales are back in play. - The system has the potential to feed upon itself. - Physical gold has to be purchased to create each Kcoin. - Increasing demand increases the amount of gold required and so on and so on. - If other cryptos are launched based upon a gold-standard, somebody mentioned Agnico/Canadian mint, then more purchases of physical gold required. - This leads us into the gold-space and everything that involves. - We as investors in Centamin already inhabit this space. - Joining the dots up here, albeit with a degree of hope at this stage, makes for a very exciting project. - Imagine a world where future generations can't be printed out of existence by their irresponsible forefathers and where saving for your old-age with confidence is back on the agenda. - Well, maybe that's taking it a stage too far. :-) :-)

Tibbs, indeed, it's a story more about Gold than crypto imo. - The use of Kinesis brings gold into play as a currency and it's a helluva long time since this was the case. - If it catches on, demand for physical gold will increase benefitting all those companies sharing that space including miners. - So, I guess when we talk about Kinesis we are in a connected way talking about Centamin also.

Tibbs - hi. The more I learn about what is about to happen with regards to the Kinesis story, the more interesting and appealing the project becomes. - Thanks for the latest news/incite. Tenorman - hi Thank you for sharing that information. - Very kind of you. Apologies to my fellow Centamin journeymen. - We seem to be talking more about 'K' than CEY. Hopefully that will change, sooner rather than later.

carzy - Yes indeed, a good point. - Mind you, they are accepting ether but I don't have any, so I've had to convert �'s into $'s at their conversion rate and in my case because the amount I applied for exceeded the value of the banks max daily transfer, I've had to do it in more than one tranche, with each transfer/tranche costing �22.00. - So, the point you make is very valid, notwithstanding the time element, 2-4 days, on top. - All in all it does make crypto look exceedingly attractive.
