A reasonable if not somewhat hopeful summary. - Q3 now sets the scene. - As you say much now depends on the grades and the development of 'Hapi' - Given the vagaries of mining, it will be surprising if there are not setbacks of one kind or another. Playing catch-up tends not to be able to cope with such circumstances. - We'll have to wait and see.

The good news today is that at least there is no bad news. Nil response from markets so far. Slightly negative if anything given that gold has recovered somewhat.
Looking ahead, a 22% uplift in production required to meet FY forecast, means ,there is no wriggle room for setbacks. - A big ask IMO. We really needed to maintain Q4 18 levels going forward into this year to set the scene for a successful year. - Anyway there we are

Hi Tiger - Can't fault your arithmetic relevant to mid-forecast (505). - So, as you say, 111 for Q2 added to 116 for Q1 would maintain target as depicted in the 45/55 H1/H2 split forecast. - However, H2 would require a 22% increase in output to achieve overall forecast and not the 10% as the 45/55 appears to suggest. - 22% is a huge increase I would suggest and would represent a formidable catch-up handicap.

SP progressing slowly up the hill again. Going on recent past experiences, we can guess at what happens next. Let's hope there's a different ending this time and that our progress can be sustained and the gains consolidated. I wouldn't bet on it though. Not with the secrecy and not with the silence. - Our gains are on the back of a rising gold-price. So, irrespective, we're entitled to expect such gains. However, we all know how good Centamin is at pulling the rug from under us. They have perfected the art. The art of ensuring that come what may, the shareholders must not benefit, whilst they on the other hand continue to enjoy the largesse of failure. We'll soon know. Let's pray our hopes are not dashed once again.
