CIs block off the molecules that attract proteins, so again slowing down the tumour's growth.
It gives the patients immune system a better chance of attacking the tumour but only of the order of 30% of patients benefit.
SCIB2 generates a potent TCell attack but at the same time causes more expression of the molecules that CIs block off.
So there is a trial of SCIB2 planned in combo with a CI and the hope is that this will work markedly better than either CI alone or SCIB2 alone.
