There is a strong parallel with Scancell here. Lindy is the star player so you need to let her go where her science takes her. So if her science takes her to the GC you don't get in the way.

He was the architect of Tecentriq, Roche's CI. In fact for quite a time he was the only scientist working on it.
Obviously a very talented scientist.
So, when Daniel shows an interest in IGMs what do Genentech do? They let him go instead of accommodating his latest area of interest.

If you google "CRUK Grand Challenge" you get lots of acedemic websites. What you don't seem to get are many news websites. Perhaps the Grand Challenge is just not well known outside the science world.

I wonder what publicity there will be on Thursday on news channels. There will be some but at what depth.

Apparently Nottingham Uni are running our GC entry. Someone should tell Lindy.

One thing that caught my attention was that the recent research announced was work done by Basel University.
Both Roche and Novartis are headquartered in Basel.
Does anyone know if either of these companies are taking an interest in Pastorix?

Maybe Scancell's GC entry had already been submitted or was near to being submitted, and Scancell considered ramping as inappropriate.

In the Feb 18 presentation the GC entry was described in some detail. By Oct 18 it was Modi2's turn.

It wouldn't be ethical for Scancell to act as though they had already won the GC.

The GC is the next big step in Lindy's quest to cure all cancers.

I have already stated that Sally and Lindy will be in frequent discussions.
When an issue surfaces that requires Lindy's expertise. no doubt Lindy will make it a priority.

So, if there is to be any impact, it would be on Lindy's research and not the development process.
Lindy is acting as consultant to Sally on an "as needed" basis.

The Modi2 research is an ongoing research project that will continue anyway since the work is being performed by Lindy's team members.

The GC work is in the same category as ongoing research. Lindy can drop it temporarily whenever Sally requires Lindy's expertise.

The Biontech collaboration is a once a week meeting where progress and further ideas are discussed. The work is being performed by BionTech.

I still don't see what you are getting at. Lindy will know that the priority is the trials.

I agree that the trials are most important but the delays so far have been down to other companies (Ichor and Polypeptide).
The 3rd trial is entirely in the hands of CRUK albeit with Scancell providing support.
Trust in Sally's expertise is what I say.

Perhaps you could give an example.

I used to think that Lindy was on the critical path of just about everything Scancell does.
However, the division of work between Lindy's team and Sally's team became very clear at the AGM
This was very reassuring to me.

So there have been 2 delays to trials

1) The SCIB1/Keytruda is being held up until Ichor's IND is approved. Sally is on hand to help Ichor if needed but the ball is firmly in Ichor's court. They need to answer the FDA's questions.

2) The Modi1 manufacture, and in this case, Sally got Lindy to sort out the problem with Polypeptide. We don't know how long the delay was.

Lindy is, in effect, on call if Sally feels she needs her help.
But it came across at the AGM just how capable and experienced Sally is.
