Ok, so the patient does not even have to have naive TCells for this particular target.

So, all in all, a fairly quick procedure.

I just assumed that the Viral Vector can only be applied to the particular naive TCell for that target.

So
1) we extract blood from the patient
2) apply the Viral Vector(s) knowing that the patient is bound to have some naive TCells for that target
3) Create the clonal expansion
4) Infuse back into the patient

Yes, I realise no blood banks are necessary. I was just saying like "blood banks".
Instead we have Viral Vector banks but can we also have T Cell banks collected previously from donors?

So on Slide 38 where it says
"Transfected into human T cells and population expanded"
Do these TCells have to be this patient's T Cells or can they be donor cells?

If the later, do we know how long the TCells survive outside the body?

Once you have the Viral Vector (which you say can be mass produced, which is great) do you have to apply it to the particular patient's extracted TCells or could they be applied to TCells extracted from anyone at an earlier date (assuming they are TCells for the particular target)?

It would be a bit of a coup for Scancell if this change was Lindy's doing.
I think the original process was more suited to a situation for creating TCells for lots of different targets. It probably fits better with the apparent Genentech/BionTech scatter gun approach.

Modi1 only has 3 targets and from memory I think Modi2 has 5. I don't know how long activated TCells can exist outside the body, but it may introduce the possibility of storing activated TCells ready for use on a patient at short notice. A bit like having a blood bank.

I think page 38 first appeared at the AGM.
It has also been included in subsequent presentations (LSX and China) without a slide for the original process.

To me, it is further evidence that the collaboration is progressing well.

Slide 37 shows the original process and slide 38 shows the new process.

The single cell sorting that, in the Calculus presentation, Lindy described as a very clever process has been removed.
The new process is now based on creating a TCR starting with a Moditope peptide. So the process has been shortened and is probably less problematical. You have to wonder whether Lindy had a hand in this redesign.

It sounds like approval for TriGrid V2 in trials would have been a lot easier in China than it has been in the US.

I too am a long term holder since March 2012.
I totally understand your frustration and I feel it too. We could have closed a deal on the strength of the SCIB1 trial results but my assessment is that big pharma were biased against cancer vaccines at that time.
About 12 months ago I too was getting nervous about my investment so at that point I decided to learn more about the science and the more I learnt the more my investment made sense.
However, apologies to you Ruck if you feel I insulted you.

A bit of an understatement IMO looking at the 5 year results and the memory effect. Also, it looks like Lindy is moving on to an even better delivery system in the SCIB2 combo trial.

It seems to me very labour intensive to produce the personalised vaccines.
It would be interesting to know just how much this type of personalised vaccine preparation would cost in comparison with SCIB1.
It would also be interesting to know if the different vaccines could be manufactured in advance or would there just be too many of them,
"targeting up to 20 neoantigens per patient" - are they likely to be different and distinct for each patient or are there big overlaps?

The great thing about the BionTech collaboration is that it is a fallback solution if Moditope the vaccine does not work on a patient.
Scancell is not into TCR therapy so it is a bonus on top of what Moditope the vaccine is worth.

The Avacta deal is for a platform that is yet to have been proved by clinical trials.
