It looks very much that the scope of the collaboration has been enlarged. So timescales have been extended and there may be no definite end date. 40 epitopes to be screened. Now that shows that the collaboration is much more extensive than we thought and it includes homocitrullinated epitopes. I once suggested this but the consensus was that Scancell would issue an RNS if that was the case. How wrong we were.

I'm by no means an expert on insider trading rules but are Biontech allowed to buy shares on the open market when they are privy to information about the collaboration that has not been made public?

I have long ago given up predicting Scancell's share price.
I'm happy that the science progresses year on year.
Then at some point, probably when the data begins to flow or a BionTech deal happens, we see a re-rating.

No doubt he will appear next year with a 7 year grievance.

I see what you mean and it makes perfect sense.
Build up the "Viral Bank". Adding a new member to the bank is essentially using the exact same process but on a different TCell.
The moditope trials (Modi1, Modi2 ......) provide useful evidence about each epitope in the trials.
But it does sound as though Biontech are thinking along the lines of diagnostics - which epitopes are expressed most by an individual patient. Maybe combining the TCR technology with the technology for identifying individual mutations in the Genentech/Biontech collaboration. IMHO

But to get HSE involved might suggest that the TCR process is at an advanced stage.
I agree with your "Wow" re 40 epitopes. I can't think why this was not the subject of a separate RNS.
40 epitopes also suggests why it is taking so long. IMHO

IMO you won't break any rules but this is something they might be planning an RNS for. So you will probably get the answer that they will inform the market of trial progress in due course.

This definitely adds to my knowledge in this area.
But it very much looks like this patch is able to be applied to any antibody, not just the 4 that Scancell have created to target glycans.

As I understand it, there are 5 basic types of Fc region and each type binds differently to the tumour and helps to mediate with the immune system in different ways.

It will be interesting to know whether this modification can be applied to all 5 types of Fc region with the same effect. No doubt Lindy will tell us more later this week.

As I said before, these new binding mechanisms could be a stroke of genius.
It would be interesting to find if anything similar already exists I.e. has any other scientist tried to increase overall avidity by modifying the Fc region of the antibody. I haven't found anything so far.
IMO, a great example of lateral thinking from Lindy/Jiaxin to utilise a part of the antibody not normally thought to be that important when interacting with a tumour cell.

The first article is about diagnostics from Oncimmune. This is a company that has previously worked with Scancell on better selection of patients for scib1.
The 2nd article is about Nivolumab which is a rival to the checkpoint inhibitor Keytruda being used by Scancell in the trial just started

I wonder if monies raised from IPOs will be used predominately for projects where either Biontech is the sole company involved and/or Biontech is the bigger partner in a collaboration. Is Biontech looking to boost its own pipeline?
Grand ambitions maybe but start on a fairly modest scale.
