So the existing mAB is soon out of patent but along comes mark2 with enhanced avidity.
The existing mAB can now possibly be copied but the copies will be inferior to the mark2
OR
The drug company goes down the evergreening route of patenting the extra potency that Avidimab gives
Either way, the gravy train continues.
From a Scancell perspective, this could be massive.
How many Mabs are out there that could benefit from having Avidimab?
And the 2 collaborations so far are non-exclusive and our collaborators know that.
So if and when deals come along who knows how they will be structured.
Outright purchase of Avidimab, purchase of 1 or more of the glycans mABs, licencing by mAB, licencing by geographical area (e.g. China)
