It's a bold statement and now it looks like, possibly, Lindy is going to have a go at proving it.

To do a deal on 1 of the mabs, Avidimab has to be included for that mab since the mab is useless without it.
But I would assume that the use of Avidimab for a pharma's own mabs would require another deal.

The mab must have Avidimab otherwise it loses its killing action.
What has changed obviously is that Scancell have all this cash.
I would imagine Lindy was reluctant to do deals pre-clinical on theses mabs but a pragmatic decision was made to go for deals because of the cash situation at the time.
50 mill changes everything. They are in a far better position to increase the IP of all assets.

Avidimab can be useful in a number of areas:

a) Have its own killing mechanism (immunogenic cell death)
b) drug delivery (ADC)
c) CAR-T
d) redirected T-Cell killing

I would imagine Lindy is thinking in terms of providing more data in some or all or these areas.
Whether this involves going as far a clinical trials we will have to wait and see.
Remember one of the advertised posts asked for CAR-T experience.

So my fantasy AGM would be:

a) SCIB1 trial getting going
b) Modi1 manufacture done and dusted
c) Covidity delivery working well (plus a smile from Lindy)
d) Modi2 out of research and in development
e) "More data" plan for glycans Mabs and Avidimab

Well for a start
a) we are not using Ichor for Covidity
b) It looks like Modi1 is close to manufacture

Because the world's eyes are on Covid19 vaccines, if great Covidity results are produced who knows where it takes the SP.
Remember what Prof Patel said about it being easier in theory to target a foreign invader as opposed to a cancer. Lets hope he is right in that respect.
Its a race with a huge field but what runners can boast both antibody and a strong TCell response.
IMO the really important aspect of Covidity is the delivery mechanism. We know that it is very likely that Lindy will pick some really good targets so that, to me, leaves delivery as the aspect to get right.
If the dual presentation aspect of Covidity is confirmed or proved to be even better than Ichor delivery then that is a major hurdle overcome.

An MCAP of 1 billion is possible next year if certain events give better than expected results.
Those events being the preliminary results from 3 trails.
Of course Scancell have to get the trials going on time and in the case of cancer trials they have to be allowed to go forward.

Yes, I know that you have differing views from scientists but somehow the world needs to work out a consensus.
A consensus that evolves as new scientific evidence becomes available.
Currently you have governments cherry picking the bits of science they want to follow.

The measures are stricter in Italy and everyone obeys them. Economically the country seems to be little effected at present.
Masks are worn habitually, hand gel and temperature checks are everywhere.
I had to laugh at a large billboard outside our local town advertising their city as being the "Covid free city". But in "Covid free city" everybody was still following the rules.

If all governments were "following the science" then each country would be tackling the pandemic in identical ways instead of the wide differences we see.
Differences in attitudes to masks, to social distancing, to lockdown measures, to travel restrictions to name a few.
For instance in Italy, ever this wears a mask in shops without exception. Your temperature is taken at entrances to shops and now you have to wear a mask outdoors as well.

On travel restrictions, I recently returned from Italy via France and dutifully filled in the online form recording the countries visited and details of return journey. These forms were not checked at the border (as stated on the form) and there has been no communication since. So much for travel restrictions from France.

On vaccines, this is a world crisis, so why aren't countries part of a world project to find an effective vaccine. It is at least gratifying that Lindy has adopted an approach that looks very promising. Lindy is doing what she has always some i.e. Find the best targets and find a way of attacking them. Very handily she already had the method of attack.

Well as far as Avidimab is concerned they have stated there are 3 possible killing actions.
So, for a start proving that the killing actions work is one of the things they could do.
One of the actions is mediating a CAR-T attack and that fits in with one of the new positions advertised.
Also Burble tells us that FG2811 has great potential in the field of CAR-T. So there's another thing they could do.
Whether they go as far running clinical trials, we may find out at the AGM.
But it may be that a relatively small amount of work would greatly increase the worth of these products. They have the time and the money to do that now.

Its just pure speculation on my part.
But whatever the reason, the main point is that a highly experienced investment fund is keen to invest loads of dosh in Scancell.
They obviously love Scancell's science and want it to achieve something near to its full potential.
In doing that and, if things go roughly to plan, they will obviously make a great deal of money for themselves. Of course, TW could be right and it could all be just a "spoof" that both parties are in on. :-)

Well my theory that I keep plugging is that CH discussed the upcoming deal on glycans mab(s) and how much to expect.
I we'd had the foresight to bug the Oxford office, we might have heard something like this:

CH "it would be a lot more with more data"
Redmile "how much do you need to run a phase 1/2 trial"

Redmile "are there other products that need more data?"

Yes, I have mixed feelings about that myself.
It would be nice to have that all important first deal.
Trying to read between the lines, maybe the figures were too low.
Enter Redmile who suggested more data on the mab in question would get Scancell a much better deal.
A debate on how much would Scancell need to achieve more data on all their current products then followed.
That surely must suggest a plan on what work needs to be carried out and trials required and hence money required.

I think Cliff is the one to present that plan at the AGM although Lindy's chat will be fascinating (presumably centred on Covidity).
