Reading an article regarding gas in Vietnam,
Vietnam’s electricity generation is 50% coal-based while only 8% comes from natural gas. T he country has stated its long-term goal is to have 80% of its electricity come from natural gas. If Vietnam is successful in its ambitious goal, it would reduce carbon emissions by nearly 30%.
Bodes well for our exposure there, with the global demonisation of coal.

Great financials today, really solid on the back of the recent high cu prices, only downer was the increasing costs.
Cash costs for Q3 2021 were $2.19/lb of payable copper, higher than in Q3 2020 ($1.94/lb). This increase is mainly the result of higher volumes of waste mined plus higher freight rates.
Hopefully these volumes will decrease in future and bring AISC back down again, just a thought are they flexible enough to mine areas where they know they have high waste and choose to mine it when cu prices are high, would make sense, and save other areas for when cu prices are low?

Just read through the RNS expecting bad news as the sp is down 6.5% as I am reading I am thinking that's good production up, that's good production being within 3% of guidance, record production over 16k in Sept , that's good, payback in 40 days for well 8H, that's good.
So it continues on and on, its a mystery what the market expects, as it knows all about the issues with the sit in, other than that all is good, in fact excellent update.

Amazing when you consider output has risen as well, great news all eyes waiting for early Dec.

Yes I agree, we were well above 450p last month I thought we were heading higher, now lower, seems like we are playing the Price is Right, higher, lower, higher.

That's a good point, giving a guaranteed min price for them to shift some if their shares and KMR get the option to cancel them.
Even though the sp is now up to 420ish it did look as though below 400p was on the cards a few days ago, and that was to low.

The more I think about this offer the more abysmal it is, a ceiling has just been placed on the sp, who is going to purchase shares above 217p and then sell at a loss?
Maybe regulations get in the way of setting a price higher, which if they had at say 500p the sp would of shot up to 500p knowing you have a guaranteed sale price.
Hopefully the sp will rise on its merits and realise this scheme to the scrap heap.
I mean you could on the open market and get a better price.

I have yet to see any meaningful impact from schemes like this, it seems to me a lack of imagination from a board of what to do with some some cash which is burning a hole in their pocket.
Usually its profitability and cash flow which drives the sp higher surely they could use this cash improving plant efficiency or buy a stake in another business, this seems to be throwing away cash that has taken years to be accrued.
Who might benefit from a scheme such as this? the board with their share performance benefits EPS would artificially be ramped up as this is usually one of the drivers determining their bonus.
They could with our current profitability wipe out our debt, who knows what's round the corner.
Disappointed if this is the best the bod can deliver.

I don't see any benefit from sbbs, the cash should go to shareholders or investment in the company via acquisitions, all I have seen sbbs do is massage the EPS to artificially raise it higher, who gets the benefit? the board with their share performance schemes linked to EPS amongst other stated performance figures.
Sbbs just seem a waste of hard earned cash all imho, it's no wonder bods love them.

Commercial growers pump co2 into their greenhouses at about 1200-1400ppm, they do this for stronger plant growth, better yields, more pest resistance and more drought resistance.
Leaves have apertures that catch co2 and when there is plentiful co2 about they don't have to open up as much which means less evaporation from the plant.
So co2 is not all bad, and if you are ever in a closed space with others say a packed tube carriage or lift what do you think the co2 content would be? In the thousands.

What is bad we exhale co2 as do the animals we eat how long before food is rated by co2 emissions or god forbid is somehow linked to us.
You can see the way its going, the fake meat market is booming.

Why is there a pressing need to reduce fossil fuel emissions?
Co2 does not cause global warming or climate change, the sun does with its effect on our magnetosphere which is currently weakening effecting jet streams, and the ocean currents control our weather.
Ice cores prove co2 levels have been higher in the past by 1000s of ppm way before mans input.
By the way all life on earth stops at below 140ppm co2 we are now about 400ppm.
Under these agreements regarding co2 why are they not the same?
We in the west must reduce our outputs while China and India and others can continue to increase theirs, hence more coal fired power stations for them.
The co2 debacle is a tax scam nothing more nothing less it has nothing to do with climate, companies can continue to emit co2 if they buy carbon credits that's what its about money from thin air or should I say co2.
Think about it co2 is 0.04% of the atmosphere, methane about 2000ppbillion, its like putting on a 50 watt bulb which will get hot on its surface but will never heat your living room.
The propaganda has been superb most people will believe this nonsense.
Just a heads up if global warming was real why has yields for wheat, soya beans and other crops decreased? bad weather and shorter growing seasons, colder weather.

I wasn't keen on the last interview so sort another from a highly recognised organisation who held a different view for the same situation, or let's say the next couple of years so this interview is to me more reassuring, although his main focus is platinum and rhodium.

Kenmare has reported stronger than expected output in Q3’21, with ilmenite production of 314kt implying Moma had its first quarter at nameplate capacity of 1.2Mtpa. Ilmenite and zircon production were, respectively, 3% and 4% ahead of our estimates, primarily as a result of higher heavy mineral grades and recovery rates, aided by the transition of WCP B to the Pilivili zone last year. Shipments were, however, below our estimate, although this would appear to be merely due to the timing of vessel departures.

Outlook for Palladium over the coming years is expertly reviewed here with ref to other PGMs along the way, includes some price ranges as well, which may disappoint a little but perhaps he his just being cautious.

Upbeat production report, with increases looking fantastic compared to last year but 2019 production figures are the ones that will show the real increase.
Great to see prices increases and the market being in tight supply, all we need now is to see these increased prices show up as revenue on the balance sheet, when the market sees the debt reduction and hopefully increased dividend I will be amazed if the sp doesn't move towards predictions made here a while back.
Maybe its time for a top up, before the market catches up.

The zinc price touched a near 14-year high in Shanghai on Wednesday, while in London it jumped to the strongest in over three-and-a-half years after Nyrstar said it will cut production by up to 50% at its three European zinc smelters due to the soaring price of electricity.

Operationally everything is going better than anybody could of hoped, production on the up, wells completed within budget and on time, the Brazil route now being worth it weight in gold (oil) the protests being case of deja vu, hopefully these issues can be resolved amicably to suit all, then the market and investors can focus fully on Ptals successes.

Those results look very good to me considering they brought forward planned maintenance from Q4 and have now improved guidance for year, looks like all areas are progressing well, costs reducing, increased reserves, solar plant etc

However, with copper prices above US$9,000/t, this is the real earnings driver for the stock and our estimates remain on track for all-time highs with 2021F EBITDA of US$135m which implies a one year forward EV/EBITDA multiple of 3.9x; making a compelling valuation.
