Good to see you post C7 - looking through the Thursday Karolinska RNS I noticed the comment from Professor Lars Klareskog who said "The collaboration with Scancell will allow us to investigate the relationships between autoimmunity and cancer and the therapeutic opportunities that may be uncovered from such studies."
Note the words 'will allow' - presumably they like something in Moditope enough to extend their existing collaboration from a while ago, and the patent which Scancell holds means they have to get Scancell authority to do anything further. Nice to know the company is holding a strong hand that leading institutes want to look at deeper.

Sorry to disappoint but that 200k is from yesterday and may well be a sell. Aggie's internet connection may be disrupted by rats gnawing through the cables. You get a lot of vermin under caravans.(And in some of them too...)

Just the other day someone was posting that the involvement with the Karolinska had effectively fizzled out - obviously quite the opposite, and as roses says there's a lot going on out of everyday sight.

He's just stirring basically - puts the same comments on several unrelated boards without any direct relevance and then tries to get attention from it. Probably just a bit of a saddo.

HW you need to look at the criteria applied to a post before it is removed. I doubt they would remove one that didn't fulfil those objective points necessary. I didn't see your post, but perhaps they saw it as just old tosh?

Whatever the ins and outs, in summary the fact sclp is shortlisted is a major achievement, the involvement of the big names from both scientific and commercial entities is excellent even if the prize doesn't go to Scancell, and the winning of it would be an even greater landmark. There's nothing wrong with optimism as the progress to date is highly reassuring. We will only know the result when it is announced, but what I can't understand is the attitude from some here who pop up and seem determined to pour cold water even on the prospect of winning the grand challenge, as if the whole thing is no big deal and winning would be of minor consequence. As I say, nothing wrong with well founded optimism.

TF - you need to learn when to stop digging.

TF I had decided to say nothing and not add to this in the hope that you would lose interest and your posting approach would change but honestly you need to pack this in - it is unbelievably tiresome that every morning two things are certain 1) the sun will come up and 2) you will find something in C7's post, however tiny or pedantic to have a pick at. Just give it a break ffs!
