Given how journalists are, it is entirely possible that they would take a statement from CH and edit out a load of it, cutting out the more vital bits. Equally it is possible he didn't include it in the original submission to the FT, but journalists are notoriously under pressure to produce copy, and relevant detail can often go astray. But any mention in the national press is a refreshing move - long time since we had one at all.

Nothing so sophisticated I think - unfamiliarity with Twitter resolved by analysis and discussion with those that are up to speed with social media.

I'm rather surprised as while I'd see nothing desperately noteworthy if scancell mentioned something about MD Anderson that possibly fitted with scancell's science, the fact if is the other way round is imo exciting. Not usual that a whale publicises a minnow without very good reason, so just wonder what has prompted this.

Now that's a most unusual tweet from MD Anderson. I wonder why they should do that, and why now? I will draw my own conclusions and leave everyone else to draw their own as only time will tell. And while I own a few horses I'm really apocalyptically poor in the saddle.

They did what they are good at - wonder how many got spiked at .45 and upwards this time? OK so I missed a buy-in at .25 to sell at .40, but this company is still on the thinnest of ice, imo based on the last several years' RNSs.

It's disappointing to see the company valued as it is at the moment, and as covered this weekend just gone (and the previous one) there is a lot of evidence to suggest that the 'juggernaut' may be starting to turn - it is certainly overdue! But it is reassuring to know that an institutional investor sitting on a substantial reduction in fund value on the back of the sp decline is apparently confident that a much higher figure would be more appropriate. Presumably they are also prepared to wait for news and other developments. Mind you, don't forget that someone took six million of the CF holding in one go, and the other 15 million were absorbed very quickly. To coin a phrase, 'maybe somebody knows something.' Or at least believes it!

There will be cynics who will say that pharmas would rather hand out painkillers and take the money from that, than actually find a cure for cancer - or any other condition that currently gets long term pain relief as the best or only treatment. However, I suspect the potential to be market leader in the next big step is actually what they aim for, after all look how much money is on CAR-T therapies, yet it hasn't stopped any hunt for the next stage beyond. And thinking about it, I remember RG's comments about the limitations of CAR-T in 2014, when it was very much on the 'up'. Another pointer to Scancell being ahead of the curve perhaps? It certainly is starting to look that way.

This is the intriguing thing about Scancell just now - Many of us have held for a good few years, and that gives plenty of time to reflect on the what it is that our money has gone into, a process that should involve some pretty hard staring at the facts available. I put some posts up last weekend outlining why I was happy to stay invested here, so it is interesting to see other quotes - Chester saying a feeling that 'the juggernaut is now turning", and crumbs saying the ‘rate of increasing understanding’ curve being steeper than ever, and a feeling that Scancell is near the front of that curve. It is a thought shared by a lot of us, and the more researching one does, the greater the feeling imo. I know it has been said before, but the decent number of outside people and organisations rubbing shoulders with Scancell is fascinating, and not just the number, but the sheer quality - people at the very top of their profession, widely respected and learned, and of course people who would not waste a second on anything that looked at all like a looming disappointment - people who have to back winners and have plenty to compare competitors against. I also love the way Scancell doesn't leak - a measure of professionalism if ever there was. So many companies just happen to spring a leak on the eve of good (or bad) news, which tends to lower the perception of integrity within an organisation. So do I think a commercial deal is imminent? No idea, but I think it looks increasingly promising, based on hard facts and the whole environment both business and science-wise in which Scancell is circulating. I am also more than happy that the board have a long-term plan, as I tried to make the point last week, from looking at how the company has been run in tandem with how the science has been developed. Every time there is a significant movement in the broader industry, it tends to move a bit closer to what LD and co have been moving towards as well, and every time there is a significant statement from someone at the higher echelons of immuno oncology, more often than not I will think 'I know that name'...do a bit of looking and find they have an association, often a strong one, to Scancell. I think the future is looking very exciting for us here - but will it take several more years to explode? Or will it be next week? No idea - but it is fun to watch, an imo it's coming sooner or later and it will be good.

When I said 'not timely' I meant 'timely'! They release data when it is fully checked and accurate, and not because of any outside expectation. Slight difference...

One thing of which I am confident, judging from past releases of data, is that any information will be crystal clear and not timely. All their updates on other trials have always been utterly accurate and with nothing missed or ambiguous.

Yes - to clarify those percentages, on those statistics, of 100 patients 25 can be expected to respond to keytruda, and of those 25, six can be expected to survive 5 years or more. The other 19 could survive anything close to 5 years, so a 'finite' response as it were.

23.3 percent of 25 percent is 5.825 percent of the original gross total. So just over 94 percent of all patients either can't or don't respond to keytruda as a monotherapy by that reckoning. 'Room for improvement' as my school reports used to say.

The ridicule is reserved for someone who states one definitive method of funding is on the cards 'next week'. Utterly uninformed and totally speculative. The company will need funds by one means or another as has been widely discussed and universally agreed. We have no means of knowing the source and it is a matter of wait and see. Ridicule is reserved for those who imply they 'know something', and they have probably spent too long in a bedsit playing with their crystal balls.
