On a different note, the subject of shelf life of SCIB1 was raised the other day - I looed at a pack of ibuprofen bought last week from a supermarket - now bear in mind they aren't much more than dried powder in a blister pack, but even those have an expiry date, in this case December 2023, so maybe four years maximum from manufacture. Well to have a batch of SCIB1 vaccine stay within design and efficacy parameters for seven years is amazing - I presume from that that it will exceed any statutory shelf life in normal use and storage. How about that for best value? All good.

I find it hard to believe that an ex-Chairman of the company would start posting on a board that has a hard core of irrationally hostile posters on it. And why post under an alias and then talk hinting that you are someone significant to the company (or who was - Evans has no professional connection to Scancell at all now). Why not just come out with it with some sort of proof? Back to the old line of 'never believe anything that is on a bulletin board.' If the amoebas on the other board get enough believing it is DE with no proof, then what power does that give to influence sentiment?

Agreed Ray - I think progress over the next five years is going to be a huge lot quicker than the last five. Some very painstaking groundwork has been done and the benefits should now arrive rapidly imo.

That sounds fair crumbs - the good thing is that we may know pretty soon. An update around the end of the month or not long thereafter is a likelihood imo.

The market reaction yesterday was very good to see, and it wasn't just the raising of the money, it was the quality of the partner it was done with - the more I look at Vulpes the more they seem a very good lot to be joined up with. Raising money by dilution is relatively easy (there are plenty of examples on AIM) but getting into bed with the right partner means less nasty surprises the following morning.

This seems to confirm the suspicion quite a few have had for a while, that a lot of money is perhaps being kept in abeyance until not only has the bottom been touched (wahey!) but also confirmation that upward progress in both financial and trial circumstances looks under way. Vulpes Risk Officer was busy I'm sure, and on what he saw (after a considerable period of study and due diligence) he is satisfied for them to make what they describe as a 'long term' commitment of several million quid into a single company, and I'm pretty sure 'long term' here means more than six months. Nice see the reaction in the SP anyway - this injection of funds has added a couple of million to the mcap so far this morning.

Keith Flaherty's interest has ben confirmed as undiminished, and also worth noting that of all the hundreds (literally) of keytruda combo trials over the last few years, none seems to have come forward with anything newsworthy.

How things have changed since the 'AGM of Doom' (in 2015 was it?) - I wonder if the management type who went against the science advice and turned down the deal is now kicking himself severely? Full marks to Lindy for the faith in science, and to the management for backing her. As C7 said the other day, about half of the expanding employee list are PhDs. There's a lot of knowledge in this company.

Roses - on that occasion they raised 3.3 million, and after 8 years of looking to 'crystallise shareholder value' the mcap of the company is less than two thirds of that.
