The sum mentioned in the last rns is for maintenance not for a new pipeline.

Echo would struggle to fill a minibus with their employees let alone have enough to get their hands dirty with workovers. So what have they been doing? Sitting in front of laptops counting their salaries. Is my guess.

Turning back on shut in wells is hardly progress. The sum mentioned is probably the cost in doing this but they'll spin it as a positive as its money that needs to be spent.

So they are a few months from carrying out the work required to bring things back on stream before any workovers and undertaken.

So the bondholders will be looking at echo which in all honesty is standing still. Could easily get a better return elsewhere.

For me generally this kind of work (in the rns) is done as a planned operation or is done during a shutdown. They would have know for sometime that this work was required. Pipes wax up over time and need pigging out to keep it from restricting the flow. Valves need replaces leaks need fixing.
Covid throws a spanner in the works at the moment with regards getting some works done.
The wording in the rns has been given a bit of sparkle to make it look as if it's being done purely to increase any potential increases. I would thing this is just general running cost of old infrastructure.

And the news on the workovers is where?
The pipeline work is maintenance work to bring it back online and hasn't started yet, so still a little down the line.
Agreed it's a positive RNS but no news on increases in production or any news on these long overdue workovers

I can (as well as Echo) produce an invoice or a receipt to any company for any product or service. This invoice is now a debt on the companies books. No service or product has to trade hands. It is now a debt (but not real) but it shows in the accounts. The company can now package and sell or trade this dept....... get the drift.

When I see a pee ant exploration company that says it owns or part owns a a workover rig...... that has 15 employees.
