remember the company should have over 10 million in cash from placing and around 2 million from the previous year. I would say that they have used up to 3 - 4 mill during dec 2007 to july 08. Therefore i would say around 9 mill is still cash compared to a market cap currently of 15.5mill.

i agree with you. The only way this company will go forward is to get out of the denial stage and accept that colal-pred is not viable. Once they have accepted the loss, they can move on and put all their efforts into ceti as this is the last lifeline that could possibly move this company forward. I think alot of you would agree with me that their press release was too happy for investors liking, either to hide the fact that it is not viable or possibly because they are in denial themselves.

i think the failure of one of their major customers has put a dampener on the sp because of the amount that has to be written off, but it does pose a good oppurtunity. The company still is a profit making business. The only reason admin expenses were high for the year end of 2007 was because of the relocation and repositioning of dataforce and possibly first-time issues with the 2 newer acquisitions. My assumption is that admin expenses will be alot lower in the year end of this year which will enhance the amount of profits made. The company still has 8 million pounds worth of contracts, its got work to keep it busy through the 2nd half of 2008. I think the chief exec has got his head screwed on also by not making any more acquisitions due to the uncertain markets but possibly he may be looking now at the oppurtunities that could have possibly opened up.

i agree, the chief exec bought over 2million shares over 2 days. when you compare his purchases to the amount he previously held, he has increased his holding in the company by almost an extra 50%!. This is a very good sign as it is not a measly amount like a 1% increase in his holding.

what suprised me was that why the hell was it trading at 330p when the offer values it at 317. Maybe they were expecting AL to up the price lol! well they got kicked in the nuts also.

Shareholders had little choice at the end of the day as the FSA is only trying to protect the economy from a huge sell off in the economy if one of the highly leveraged banks were to fail. Hi guys it seems you lot have been waiting for this RNS for over a month now. Have RVD even officially said they are releasing an RNS or are you guys just saying that they will release an RNS to keep your hopes up? Because all hear on this board is 'RNS coming soon', 'RNS should be next week by the latest' etc etc. Unless they have officialy said they will be releasing a trading update, you really wont be getting one.

hi the market makers are restricting the number of shares you are allowed to purchase. there is 10000 available at 2.25, 10000 at 2.75 and 30000 at 3. Regarding british bulls, it is all candle stick analysis and doesnt seem to be related to hard facts. But i see that they have faired well with ratings.

It seems jatropha is getting some good media coverage in a positive way now, i think its one thing jatropha really needs to kick off. People know about wind,solar and wave so hopefully jatropha could be another. Also it seems Rolls-Royce engines can handle jatropha oil, an original rolls-royce car working off jatropha would be good media coverage!

it seems gates would have probably increased by a very large amount at alton towers. I remember finding vouchers on cereal boxes, PG tips tea, newspapers, Clubcard points, they were practically everywhere. It could be that Alton Towers have changed their policy towards bringing more customers in rather than relying on profits at the gate to concentrate on the sale of merchandise, food, and other purchasable goods inside Alton Towers. For example there would be no point for them having a half filled theme park, when they can allow people in free to have a fully filled theme park which wouldn't really increase their overheads but would likely increase sales of goods purchasable in the theme Park. Similar to the concept of an airliner offering cheap seats for a greater chance of making more money through sales of magazines or food on the flight. I think you are right, Venue Sol is probably just a vendor at Alton Towers and is not related to the increased customers policy that Alton Towers are using. But like you said, this will rub off on YourDay really positivly. If Alton Towers have doubled their intake of customers into the theme park (which i think they have), It will be likely that sales of YourDay have probably doubled. I went to Alton Towers late May and noticed YourDay. We didnt try it but there did seem to be alot of interest there. The staff seemed helpful. Is there a possiblity venue sol consulted alton towers to allow free entry into the park in a deal regarding yourday dvds? Maybe venue sol had an agreement with alton towers to offset all loses incurred from free entry with profits from yourday? I do not know much about this company but i hope ive provided some good info for you guys whether 'good' or 'bad' to help with a decision.

Did this company lose Alton towers tens of thousands of pounds? This is not a hate post, but please listen, it may provide some useful info. During 4 months Alton towers had an offer in the newspapers, quite a few tabloids, offering 2 free tickets to people who collected vouchers on 3 or 4 days in the newspaper. This was during the months march, april, may and june. What alton towers didnt do was restrict these tickets to the person collecting the newpaper and these tickets were the type of tickets you put into the barrier to get in. thousands of people collected loads of newspapers each day, sent off the vouchers, got tickets through the post, and sold them on ebay for a huge premium. Ebay was flooded with hundreds of '2 free tickets to alton towers' each day all selling for around 20 - 25 pounds. I myself had bought 5 sets of newspapers and sold the 5 sets of tickets (10 total) and bagged around 100 quid. During the three - four months of spring/summer around 70% (estimation from the amount sold on ebay, my guess) of alton towers revenue (profit) would have been from free tickets. Hence it would have had an effect on actual profits made. However they did change the concept afterwards for 'brittrips' etc by assigning tickets to address. I do not know much about Venue Sol but i understand venue sol has an affiliation with alton towers for 'yourday dvds'? Also i understand venue sol is also a consultancy service, increasing revenues and company profits? cont..

i agree they shouldnt go under. On Tuesday Carpetright had their final results and i placed a short on it on the monday, i had no proper knowledge of the company and had no idea of what their forecasts were. On the tuesday they met forecasts and their final results were actually good but the chairman stated 'next year would be challenging'. Just on them words their shares dropped by 7% on the day and although i was happy because i profited, i couldnt believe it dropped so much on a few words. Traders are nitpicking on anything these days just to find a reason to bring the SP's of shares down. So even if PSN trading-update meets forecasts it just seems likely they will push it down on no reasoning.
