hi guys since you have alot of money in this one, do you guys use level 2. its worth investing in it to understand why the share has fallen e.g maybe due to sells or MM's revaluing. It can probably help you alot to make a decision on where your investment is going. Also alot of level 2 brokers provide stop losses so you could have limited your loss and got back in, or you may want to have a CFD broker to hedge your position so you would be covered for a large fall but say if it did go up 20% your short position stop loss would kick in so you ride your gains. Both ways would limit your loss and you can still ride your gains. Its worth looking at even now, you havent lost out yet

all smallcap and aim shares would be battered in this environment and battered alot more than large caps due to their small size. its natural due to market conditions, not because the share is a 'bad' one. A share like this one might have everything positive going for it but if market sentiment is extremely dire like now then ofcourse general market sentiment would drag it down. Look at Blinkx it has all the potential in the world but has been beaten because of bad market conditions. Ofcourse it poses great oppurtunities. I still feel there is more in negative market sentiment that will bring small caps and aim's down further but for these type of shares you have to look towards the long term oppurtunities rather than short term weaknesses.

Hi guys i found an important peice of information regarding the cheif exec. Ian Burke chief exec of RNK used to be chief exec of thistle hotels PLC. Thistle hotels was taken over by guoman hotels which i believe is a subsidary of guoco group (not fully certain may need checking). Guoco group is a subsidiary of heong long. Ian Burke left thistle once it was taken over and went to RNK. Therefore the chief exec has links with the party who are purchasing RNK. Maybe this has been instigated between the current chief exec and guoco/hong leong for a takeover.

when i guestimate is when there is a large upwards surge. them sort of surges tend to always come downwards and re-level to a suitable value. So when the graph looks dodgy you should sell lol! MYH is a good one for this and moneyman has caught the right times. There are some people though who are excited and in anticipation and get in on the peaks thinking it will go further even though its been fully pumped out e.g the people who got on SOLG at 40p in intraday only to see it settle back at 25p 3 hours later lol!

i usually look at shares that are coming up to announcements e.g finals, trading updates because thats where i see the majority of larger falls. like hmv also had their finals today and were down 5%. Im looking at one company for tomorrow called gtl resources, finals are tomorrow. It creates ethanol using corn, and at the mo corn prices have hit the roof. Their ethanol output might actually meet expectations however i do not think they are selling and are going to have a torrid time in the near future. Its lost alot of value already but i think there more room left. i'll post on gtl with info, going to research it thoroughly, rambo.

it seems IPI spiked up adobong because they maintained their dividend. What ive read is that the dividend isn't actually sustainable and they are sourcing part from sale of assets. However this was a good thing at that point in time. But it seems that sentiment has changed so quickly that it has brought this one back down! All property stock's are looking an oppurtunity including this one. IPI have sold some risky assets off already but it looks like people believe every property asset is risky hence the price of SP. We all know some property assets are less riskier than others which is why i believe some stocks including this one look worth it, but who knows they may or may not be better in a years time, very unpredictable market.

Wouldnt you guys expect this to be a guaranteed short? Im suprised carpetright hasnt been affected similar to those such as dsgi, ScS and Land of Leather. I havent done any research on this company but i see that finals are on tuesday. I cant see why this has actually held up, i would have thought carpets would be related to similar normal goods such as car's, sofas, furniture etc etc where demand falls as real incomes fall. Aswell as the lack of propertys being sold, i would have thought sales of carpets would have a direct relationship to this. When i previously sold a property i remember comparing values of carpets from carpetright and a local carpet store. the local carpet store sold similar carpets at a 40% reduction to that of carpetright, this company relies on a high level of customer service/ sales experience to sell its carpets. And companys that rely on customer service than cheap 'inferior' goods havent been fairing too well in current environment. I have to do some research do not know the company properly but ill post back soon, could be one 2 watch next week.

kishkhan it wont settle just yet. you bought at the peak, everything has to correct itself in time and this will correct itself to a suitable range downwards . it is possible it could finish off close to 10p considering it was 5p not long ago.

hi RichardC, just be careful with other platforms because they pay dividends differently and change stop losses. i'll have to check yell position out, there may be some way around it. *Hoping gsls do not kick in tommorow lol*. It would be good if the positions stay open and we can ride our profits upwards with this one.

lol i mean i got in long at 148.5 and now its at 151 but my gsl is still 5% below 148.5. which means there is a around a 6-7% gap between current price and my current gsl. i was wondering if it would cost me to edit my gsl to say 143.45 since the SP tomorrow may actually hit my current gsl which is at 140.5. i meant 'shortening' as closing the gap between my current gsl and current price.

im fully in now. ive got 2 orders to open left but cant seem to cancel them, i think they will just expire when market closes. mark do you know if i will get charged again for gsl if i change its position, im sitting on profit on some of the trades and was thinking of shortening the position on some of them if the market closes high. i was looking at next week and SPMG is showing 11% but ig has it as a 12.5% gsl. it might pose an oppurtunity later on this week. AIM share aswell.
