Comparing to Genal is nonsense, nearly every Oil company in the world would not be able the match the lift costs, but they do Tax more. I suspect in 10 years Oil could be $200 a barrel. Why do you think RKH are going to need $500 million ? What if they get $200 for OM ?

Genel Energy is in Iraq and because of that could be seen as in a unstable country. The lift cost is low because they just stick a pipe in the sand rather than drilling in water etc. You could same the same about all Gulf Oil producers v Offshore, yet there is a huge offshore industry. They have a Oil industry tax of 35% and further taxes for contracts at up to 10% and also 5% for importing equipment etc. Also I think its sour Oil they are producing, more costly to refine.

This is likely to be 5p soon anyway, how will they raise on that ?

They cant do anything legally. The stop oil idiots have already been kicked into touch, nobody cares when their electricity bills have already doubled. Putin has just changed the Oil world for a generation and RKH have a great chance of benefitting from the paradigm shift now underway. They couldn't really be better placed, all appraised and ready to go with a big Oil field. Once things start to drop into place, others will likely turn up to open the area up.
