If the action for the last few sessions is indicative then im expecting a bumper week ahead. Got a sneaky feeling some of the overdue news is gonna land. If I'm right then that 5p target could well be met or even exceeded if the right news drops

Let's see, AUM increased over 70 fold, 3 acquisitions completed, company now managing a separate fund, quotes to clients for an additional $200 million in business, in discussions for further acquisitions. I'd say a great deal has happened in the last 3 years with lots more to come.

I do so enjoy a PME when the buyers are around. Expect we will be back above 3p today. DMA buyer yesterday, Martinigirl adding 1.6 million to her holding a couple of days ago and plenty of interest this morning. Lots of news on the horizon, BOAGF generating excellent returns for investors (6.18% up to October 2022). I for one am looking forward to the next update

That's the key cszjrh01, until the market sees cold hard figures it can't truly value the company right now the valuation is purely speculative.
My take:
$700m AUM generating 0.5% revenue pa is $3.5m revenue so roughly $2.5m after tax minus $1m running costs gives $1.5m earnings, typical P/E is 29 but let's use a conservative 20 for ease of calculations gives a mcap of $30m or an SP of circa 7p at current exchange rates.
Using the typical P/E of 29 gives an mcap of circa 8.2p
Company is clearly undervalued. Market will wake eventually and anyone buying now will see significant profits.

SBP Pello sold out a long time ago, they took their money in the rise to 8p they're no longer a factor. There's circa 187 million 3p warrants available to be exercised should the holders wish to do so and those are valid for 24 months from issue. I'm not a warrant holder but if I were I wouldn't consider exercising my warrants until the SP was 6p or more or they were about to expire and the SP was above the exercise price so I could garner some profit, other than those 2 situations I would let them expire. Also consider there'll be warrant holders who sold their placing shares and moved on to other investments that may have lost money and they won't have the available funds to exercise warrants so whilst there's potentially 187 million warrants available I don't believe that all will be exercised before they expire.
Placees that wanted to sell got their cash back like Pello did in the rise to 8p.
Company has delivered and continues to do so, none of us can deny that, timescales have been an issue but unfortunately regulations require that they provide a best estimate for completion, much like buying a house, you agree to exchange on X date but something comes up and it's delayed until Y date, totally out of their hands.
Now we know the identity of the Guernsey acquisition its clear that we were waiting on sign off from the South African regulatory authority, I've been invested in a number of South African ventures and nothing ever happens quickly in the regulatory environment there.
Havelet acquisition next ideally before Xmas.

Great to see the RNS this morning confirming completion. AUM edging closer to the $1bn mark and I think they gave us a clue that things are ahead of schedule to achieve the $2bn, personally I think with the right opportunities (and the Guernsey acquisition give us further opportunities) then we could well see the $2bn achieved late next year or early 2024. It's a shame that the news was sold into especially since there was virtually no stock available to buy over the previous couple of sessions, always puzzles me why people sell when you can't buy, hold and the price goes up then you can sell. That said I'm not surprised given the current climate and the time of year. Havelet acquisition completion imminent giving additional AUM and decent revenue. Once this acquisition is complete I think we will see the broker note as they'll have all the information they'll need following the acquisitions and they can publish something meaningful rather than speculative. I expect we will see that in the new year. All in all a good day today proving that the company is indeed delivering and will continue to do so.

As per the rns for the latest acquisition sign off expected by Wednesday. Could we be in for a surprise week and also get the Guernsey acquisition completed too? Would be great to go into December having them both completed and details on the additional revenues that they will both bring.

Published spread is always inaccurate, yesterday for example spread was 2.4 / 2.7 yet you could buy 200k at 2.519, when there's little volume MMs make a wide spread to discourage traders. There's 2 acquisitions due for sign off imminently, one which adds $350 million to the AUM, the other we are told will be completed by 30th November which adds an additional business opportunity wrt litigation settlements and brings in significant revenues (see the rns). Once the acquisitions are completed I expect to see a rise to 5p or more.

Well that RNS was out of the blue! Another addition to the ALGW fold additional AUM and what appears to be signicant returns. Curious wording on the rns "Alpha expects to complete the acquisition by 30th November 2022 and will make additional announcements in due course once completed"
That to me suggests there's more to come from this deal, a quick bit of digging shows yet another Guernsey connection. Could we be looking to make an additional acquisition in Guernsey (which will require regulatory approval)? Company delivering in spades on their 2b strategy that $2bn AUM target is looking more and more conservative as acquisitions are made.

Got them at a great price too, another chunk taken out of the free float. All that's needed now is news which will generate volume and a rapid rise in the SP.

The board have made it abundantly clear that there not be a cash raise. Large warrant holders have confirmed to the board (and also to me personally) that they are prepared to exercise their warrants if the company require funds for additional acquisitions. Price is going up because market is realising just how undervalued this is right now and investors are taking advantage of the opportunity that is currently being presented to them

The only one sounding desperate is you Daisy / Share22k, I've never claimed to be in the know, all I've ever done is share my knowledge of the company, my research based on my conversations with the executives and some of my deep dive research. You on the other hand resort to insults no wonder your posts are continually deleted. Perhaps you would care to share some research which would support your theory that investing here is a waste of money, time and energy. You do seem to expend a tremendous amount of those 3 things criticising the company but share nothing substantive. Wild statements which aren't backed up by facts do nothing for your credibility

ALGW currently has 6 market makers: SCAP JBER ARDA WINS PEEL & SING. SING & PEEL are currently top of the bid suggesting they want to accumulate stock, either for a buyer or because they have sold more than they owned, WINS & SCAP currently top of the ask suggesting they have willing sellers or stock on the books they can sell. ARDA & JBER just hanging around in the middle. I'm no expert but I think unlikely that between them the MMs would hold such a large percentage of what is indeed a usually illiquid stock. Looks to me like SING & PEEL have chanced their arm and are trying to balance the books, which they won't be able to do at current levels so are perhaps publishing these delayed corrections to try and manipulate the market and encourage sellers. Looks like they're struggling to do so and all its going to take is a fomo Friday tomorrow (or confirmation of acquisition) to really put the cat amongst the pigeons, see the price rocket and the MMs pay the price for not making a proper market when they should have. Price should be well above 4p now on the volumes we have had over the last 3 weeks

I know of 3 others who have holdings totalling approximately 6%. The telegram group has 46 members, Mr Alder and Roy Rawlins are in the group, that leaves 44 members who I estimate hold on average 1.5 million shares each so that's another approximate 66 million shares or 15.28%

That brings the total to 45.93%. Directors hold around 3% that brings the number up to around 49%. Outside of these there will no doubt be a number of individuals who own several million each, we can only guess how many but the above alone shows how tightly held these shares are
