Last time this type of news dropped the share dropped about 20% and then it was just suggested as an idea. I am aware at the time the conclusion was TRN could apply to run ticketing and that seemed to allay concerns. Wonder what effect it will have this time...
My view on pru is that it's not an investment stock. It's a traders stock and the trick is buy at close to £6 and sell when it hits 6.50 which it regularly does and then repeat. It should be an investment stock ( its what i believed when i brought in) as the fundamentals are beyond solid BUT it may as well be named prudential china as no matter how well it performs true increases in share price only happen when the government is tinkering with the economy. So if you have brought in higher than 6.50 ( me!!!) then so frustrating but lesson learnt and I will not again ( ok never say never .. :) ) I do enjoy this board though some amazing insights and lots of v experienced ìnvestors- nod to @jamesoxford in particular who I see as the Professor of this share! :) Good share though- will return profit even for those of us who got in at a high price....in time 🤣 I read somewhere another stimulus in 2- 3 months is planned- so I expect nothing from this until then.
I have noticed more selling than buying...does the market know something we don't?? Surprised its in the red tbh. Whilst didn't expect a jump I def did not expect a fall.
Incoming stupid question.... are we supposed to hold or take the win and run??? I think wait as aviva still might make another offer....but interested to know what the people with some experience behind them would do! Thank you

Will betray my total lack of experience re share dealing but I thought when offers were made, usually the price surges....or is that just unique to rightmove?? 🤣
I actually like the real life take Garonne provides. You are allowed to vent your frustration- doesn't mean he isn't cut out for shares just means it's more of a roller coaster! I find the market this year really unpredictable with lots of stocks doing v well only to fall off a cliff and others seemingly hitting a wall only to fly. Its frustrating fingers crossed it all comes good in the end. My fall back is always if u picked a stock with good fundamentals then with patience it should return a good profit. I don't think very many people are loving the market atm.
I don't think it's concerns about Russia that dropped this one today- as I am in easyjet and whilst that also fell it has recovered and ended in the green. Think this was due to the IT issue yday. If so it was a bit of an over reaction as was sorted pretty swiftly. Let's see if it corrects tomorrow.
This share seems to be on permanent life support. Oil goes it- it barely lifts. Gas goes up it literally falls. It mergers and becomes bigger and the price tumbles. It seems to be making staggering progress and the share price remains where it is...or falls. Loads of posts about various people increasing holdings....and it falls. At one stage we were all believing the US election was holding the price down...we were wrong it seems. Is this just duff stock??? Struggling to see the light with this one... oh the irony given its in the gas and oil business 🤣

Definitely the reaction I was expecting yday...I think it's pretty apt that even its response is slow. V depressing but hopefully will pick up...in about 5 years ...
FF- amazing explanation! I had to read it several times to fully grasp but I now know what you mean! Thank you! I have only recently started investing and feel like I have learnt loads- then when I read your posts and I realise I know nothing! 🤣
Hi- sorry incoming stupid question but what do you mean when you say there is a gap that needs filling??? How do you see/ know this? You often say this and are right more often than not so would love to know what it means- everyone on here seems to know ( or maybe not but too scared to ask! :)) thanks!
A little confused re the constant reference to an update over the last few weeks by folk. The financial calendar says 27 Nov.. nothing before that. Am I missing something?
