In view of the eye watering losses being wracked up by HoF as announced in the end of year results, are you not pressing for this company to issue a Christmas trading update like other retailers. If not why not. The share price has tumbled since David Forsey left this company and the eventual unseating of Helliwell has done nothing to improve fortunes here. I'm surprised you have not sold up by now. I see your leader is sending off correspondence to politicians about his failed investments which will only lead to public scrutiny about his own actions and those of others close to him. Take it on the chin old boy.
Shrewsbury hof closed now I gather. In Bristol, the concessions like Chanel were pulling out and as I understand it in Bath the council have other ideas. Much the same in Birmingham. Intu at a number of sites aren't interested either. So it is important to expose this doublespeak about Oxford Street and Westfield being the only places for a retailer to earn a crust as it is inconsistent with the boasts of the creation of the Harrods of the north when the shelves are empty pending shut downs. Just as Odey's investment here is inconsistent with previous comments about HoF. Still with a bit of digging and probing the truth will out.. And in the meantime, there are loads of other shares with better potential in the long, medium and short term. Have a good weekend.
IC could be right over some sort of decent timeframe as the entire sector is sluggish at the moment. I only looked in today and couldn't see any news other than 2 flashing red dots here later on which aren't really news about this share. Anyways made an honest crust over the course of the morning so you can't say fairer than that.
And I want to leave you with a question to mull over upside umop? Why did spd only hit £8 or so briefly? Why did it not maintain that level and rise above it. If you can answer that one you've won a watch but I need to go. Other fish to fry.
Well if you feel he is smart fair dos to you and I can only suggest you invest in spd. I did and was lucky to escape a few times - once at £7 odd. He may be worth billions at the moment but he could just as easily fritter it away. If he has earned it all honestly as well then fair dos to him but if not then don't expect others to share your admiration.
Yes upside umop but the only smart thing he's done in a long time is buy shares in his rival jd sports and sell them for a profit. His heyday was when David Forsey was his chief executive and he has given jobs to his family instead. I have no sympathy for the situation he is in at HoF and wonder how many more branches there will close over the next month. It's certainly not the Harrods of the north Mr. Ashley was cracking it up to be. Good day to you.
It's a parvenue of a man who thinks his shares trading at £2 odds are worth £8. But if he loses any more money with House of Fraser and Evans and takes on any more debt , he could self implode.
And no this isn't like the shorter guy who spammed the vod bb. This is the sort of information this company should be providing to its shareholders. via rns. Why no Christmas update. This company is a complete disgrace.

How many branches are left and how much arey the losing. Harrods of the north my elbow
Bought in on the drop and couldn't even locate the correct bb. Thought it was connected to a broker downgrade. I'm up a bit today so might sell and catch the divi another time. Good luck
if the rival site doesn't do chat so much now. Bit of detective work to find new bb here as well.
I very much think so. The future son in law is more of a Keith Helliwell sort of guy lol
I think I have my Cirencesters and my Chichesters mixed up and the first one seems to be already a goner. This information should be released by the company and not local press

And for the sake of transparency, I will be asking the FCA what steps have been taking since enrc was delisted to protect small shareholders in companies like spd and certain other matters. It's about time the politicians did more than fire questions at select committee hearings. spd doesn't have a decent public image as it is but you aint seen nothing yet.

I think I will hang about this board and hammer the nails in each of the coffins one by one because we don't want any delusional sheep still thinking we have an investor worth following when investing in jd sports seems to have been the only thing to bear fruit.
Accounts seem to be six months overdue from what I am seeing on line. I guess that's a bit like a retailer which doesn't see the need to do a Christmas trading update. Makes you wonder what other questionable practices are going on here. It took ages to unseat the previous Chairman here who hung on for dear life but it doesn't really matter what puppets are brought in here. This is a company run for the benefit of one family only.
If you believe what MA has said about the High Street being dead then there must be a distinct possibility of this and if there is no Christmas trading update from this lot again then I'd be worried about the debt here ticking up to worrying levels and the lack of any transparency. I had a very profitable long trade with Halfords today though they issued a profit warning and if they are struggling then Evans must be toast again. Halfords have just launched the world's first smart bike which links to Alexa so where exactly does that leave Evans?
A dept store more than 100 years old in Ayr, Hourstons, is to close but no HoF in the town to take advantage nor in any of the malls I shop in like intu Braehead or Silverburn. So much for the Harrods of the north for a shopper like me as I'm not going to jump in a helicopter down to the big smoke. It's all piffle anyhow as HoF Oxford Street was due to close under the CVA so doubt much will have changed there. People can ramp all they want on here but Mike's finest hour was when he bought shares in rival jd sports and sold at a profit at a time when shares in his own company were plummeting. An embarrassing epitaph by anybody's standards.
Time to kill off Evans again Halfords. And I don't even need the Scottish Government's interest free loan on an electric bike thanks to today's price action here.
