They are two different entities.

For starters it doesn't track accurately and when a short recedes, it often won't tell you.

Not only that, but although some people might like the date the short was introduced.

But to me it's meaningless.

I want to understand whats happening on a day to day basis if possible, which I accept isn't always the case.

Try looking at this site around 18.30 a couple of hours after close.

It's usually updated by then, but not for all short positions.

I take it as ten million shorts in play as of now, but realise it will be out of date already, as it usually only updates once a day, sometimes I have seen it up to three days out of date.

As with all these sites sometimes they show the figures, sometimes they don't, but I like fintech as it usually gives me the information I am looking for.

As I have said many ways of doing this, but I guess I have my favourite sites and it doesn't mean their isn't a better site out there, it just means I don't know about it.

Yes shorts available are the shorts currently in circulation.

There is a lot more data I use on fintech as I write my own scripts and gather information from various sites and every now and again add a share into my list and follow it, and obtain lots of useful data before investing.

I am slow at this stuff, but as I am not a day trader it doesn't matter to me.

You can use sites that update real time to get short information, but they cost money, and nowadays you can get everything for nothing if you don't mind being up to three days out of date.

Correct addicknt the short is ten million, when it was 0.6 the figure was just over 18 million, the short is being eroded, and not replaced, which to me says that the price was never being held down, but it's a genuine short, with someone trying to make money on the lack of daily trade in Solgold shares.

They probably made money to start off with, but this short will continuously erode, and I suspect not replaced.

Remember for ages I said Solgold wasn't being shorted, when the idiots on here said it was.

I know because I have been doing this for over 40 years, and unlike BBG I know what I am talking about.

The likes of BBG, Slug, DBW and Redknight really don't.
