My thoughts6 Dec 2025 20:43
We have had an exciting few weeks.
Whats next!
I am worried about the 26 pence bid.
Not for the reasons most on here will jump too, because I am not particularly liked on here, but because I have seen this scenario before where China is involved.
I believe the short, plus the very low offer, is too start the long process of acquisition by stealth.
Just look at how the liquid methane gas industry grew in China.
It meant Investors funded it and got little reward.
So what do we have.
We will get another bid under 40 pence and then no more.
It will hang about at the bid price and then slowly fall.
Further shorting will take place and people will sell.
Over the years JCC will slowly acquire a larger share.
Another company will also slowly grow and a concert group will be formed.
Then we get taken over for under 40 pence a share.
Seen it too many times, as I have been in gas and oil for over 40 years.
Never seen a Chinese company pay a fair price.
I have mentioned fortune oil before ( FTO ) .
A classic story, I should have made 5 million pounds profit if I got fifty percent of NAV.
I ended up with 150,000 pounds profit.
That's the last Chinese company I invested in.
We have one hope.
They will never go hostile, not the way the Chinese do business.
They will play the long game.
If we delay for too long, then the fortune oil story will be repeated.
However I strongly believe two things.
First of all we really can build this ourselves.
Pbow disagrees and I respect his opinion, as I can assure you he knows what he is talking about.
However if we don't, I doubt we will will get what people want here.
So this post is a plea.
Don't lose heart, don't sell.
Spend some time seeing how this plays out.
Remember no one is going hostile on this.
That's a different subject, but it's not happening because of the diverse book, which I know, that no one on here understands.
I think Nick Mather maybe our saviour, and if this isn't his swansong, I will be investing in his next endeavour, if he pulls this off.
However I now believe the odds are against us.
