I own a lot of shares in lgen as part of my pension, so made a phone call today.

Lgen are buying shares in funds they are tracking.

So they are purchasing for ETFs and will buy more.

That means even if due diligence was carried out in the past, then it's out of date and would need to be done again from scratch.

I have only believed production was the most likely outcome since Nick Mather laid out the case in 2015.

Since 2013-2015 I believed someone would bid for us.

I understand that earlier posts could be seen that I thought production was certain.

But I have never thought that.

Like you I look at the facts and draw various scenarios.

I hope I am wrong now and we get bids from other parties.

However I think Jiangxi have the upper hand at the moment and this I see as worrying.

I have always said looking at the diverse book and the evidence, that it is the most likely outcome.

I have invested in Chinese companies in the past.

I have never realised anywhere near what the company is worth.

In fact once the Chinese get the company, they then take a controlling interest, drive down the share price and delist it.

After fortune oil I said I would never invest in another Chinese company.

I understand the risks fully and I believe the Solgold board do too.

This is why I believe they made the 26 pence bid public.

We have no choice, we need to start construction now, because if we don't, then Jiangxi will acquire us cheaply.

It may take ten more years, but they will wear shareholders down, why we burn money and get no further forward.

Solgold know this.

I said this would happen.

We had two bids from Jiangxi cumulating in a 26 pence bid.

I said that they would eventually act in concert in order to get control of the company.

However I said before that happens Jiangxi would use intermediaries to build their position.

This is how Chinese companies work, they never overpay.

This is why we must proceed to construction ASAP.

We may get one more bid from Jiangxi, then they will shake more holders out of their shares.

Eventually the second company, whoever that turns out to be, will act in concert with Jiangxi, will then gain control.

But logic dictates that because DGR is an entirely different legal entity to Solgold.

It would make sense that DGR could reject a bid without going to the shareholders.

As it would just be advising shareholders that it wouldn't recommend the bid.

The same can happen for Solgold.

DGR is part of the diverse book.

BHP could also reject a bid for their interest in Solgold without seeking shareholders opinion.

Always leaving a hostile bid that has no chance of happening.

Not only that, but because some of the main holders would have to sell, in order to obtain a controlling interest.

However because they understand the situation, they won't sell cheap.

Hence no hostile bid, without paying a premium.
