Wrong again Slug, lots of projects around the world storing solar.
Ways to do it.
Use solar to pump water uphill, then when required let it turn turbines.
Solar used to heat rocks this works particularly well in hot climates, as the heat can turn turbines.
Use solar to create green hydrogen, as opposed to blue or yellow hydrogen.
Tesla you are forgetting that Slug is the most unintelligent poster on here.
He doesn't even understand the 2.5% rule or how the national grid works.
Unfortunately in the short term we do require gas.
However this changes when we change our power mix when we roll out solar across the country for individual households.
SharketMare if we start construction then whatever happens we are going to production.
I am not wedded to any outcome.
I just post what is the most likely outcome, following the company announcements.
That's what a half decent investor does.
Mog you misunderstood me.
Companies do, but we cannot.
People on here, the so called experts have said no other way but to sell.
Today that has been proven wrong.
We have made a commitment to fund 3.2 billion dollars.
And the government have accepted that we can do it.
SharketMare I have been investing for 43 years now
I don't need to work and can have anything I want in life.
That means I am good at it.
I don't think you understand what we have here.
This is not an investment where you run a slide rule over the figures and decide what is feasible and what isn't.
But maybe it's because I more positive about the outcome that I am more relaxed than most on here.
As always addicknt I can have a sensible conversation with you on here.
Part of me agrees with you on parties in the data room wanting clarification before bidding.
But then they would have had to be part of the discussion with the government.
That to me would imply only one party interested.
Next is would that be enough for the recent government announcement.
I personally think not.
I still believe Solgold are taking the project forward and we are near to getting the strategic review completed.
Good morning Fomad.
I have no idea, it depends how it is done.
Hence more info to become available.
I do believe that the information we get in the short term, will guide us in how Cascabel is constructed.
As I should imagine finance will be staged and we are going to have to do more than outline the various stages of construction.
Unfortunately this is what is going to take time, hence we still have some way to go.
Good morning Eish.
You are missing the point.
Solgold are committed to spending 3.2 billion dollars.
This is not speculation, it was announced by the government.
So it's going to happen, we just don't have the details.
It fits in with the two finance guys.
We just hired.
No one is going to bid for us, because that certainly would have equated to a RNS.
That is market sensitive information in a big way.
Also if someone was going to bid for us, we wouldn't have hired the two finance guys.
The money is in the process of being arranged.
Certain undertakings have been exchanged between Solgold and the government otherwise no announcement would have been made.
We just await the form in which this will take.
Please feel free to speculate how this may take place.
But the only thing we can be sure of is it's going to happen.
Hence the announcement.
SharketMare, I do believe we can obtain nearly all if not all funding based on a percentage of the NPV of Cascabel.
Remember we don't need 3.2 billion to be revenue earning.
We only require 1.55 billion to become revenue earning and even that can be staged, and that's with maybe the Government acting as our guarantor.
Imagine if we had a JV, that would make things even easier
Everyone is missing something.
No deal has been done.
Somehow we are going to get funding.
You know that thing the three stooges said was impossible.
If a sale was in the offing, then we would have had a RNS by now.
You are correct addicknt, there is no manipulation.
If someone suspected manipulation, you would report it. It would be investigated and the individuals or people doing it would be prosecuted.
What I do believe is happening is automatic trades are being executed to make small margins and thus taking profits on small movements.
This makes much more sense.
Solgold would have called out any share manipulation.
This is the article from yesterday, also Northern Miner has the story, but I cannot read that as behind a paywall.
https://www.mining.com/subscribe-login/?id=1141168
I have looked at the story that says the government are going to finance this.
Maybe we are going to borrow the money in staged loans and they are acting as a guarantor.
As I said yesterday I think the finance is sorted and we should get a RNS soon.
However not sure this story holds water,
Slug this has nothing to do with Socialist v Capitalist arguments, I stopped arguing that in my early 20's.
I am not a Socialist or a Capitalist.
I believe in a society that rewards work, and allows people onto the property ladder.
What they should have done, is announced Infrastructure changes in training engineers, plumbers, bricklayers, carpenters, plasters ETC.
We also need a social house building project, as house builders are never going to build the houses this country requires.
Pleased it's good news here, just listened to possibly the worst budget ever.
Completely useless government, doesn't understand what a tax cut is.
They have managed to raise taxes in real terms, also cut public services further, do nothing on housing, and pretend taxes are coming down.
Worst most incompetent government in history.
Hereforhemo, the IPA has been signed with Solgold, not Barrick or the Chinese.
An IPA would not be signed unless Solgold could show how the finance will be raised.
If someone was going to buy us as part of the deal, that would be market information that had to be disclosed.
We would at least had a RNS.
We haven't.
It's Solgold that is raising the money and the IPA shows we have or can do it.
