I never said Airliners would run on Electric, I said they would run on Hydrogen and Airbus have a prototype that will be commercially available in 2035.

Jezzoo we already have electric planes, just not commercial airliners.

Yes hydrogen is made from electrolysis of water, using electricity.

However that's not what Slug said.

He said it run on water.

What's more Jezzoo I believe that green hydrogen will power them.

This is hydrogen made from Solar and other forms of renewables to make the hydrogen.

So the hydrogen could be created at the airports, so no transport required.

So using Solar to power planes, as the Solar generates the hydrogen which in turn powers the planes and once the set up costs are met, then plane fuel, will be a fraction of what it costs today.

Electric Passenger planes are not possible yet, but Airbus have a working prototype Hydrogen aircraft and expect them to be in service by 2035.
