Human activity has bought it to 425ppm.

Plants require co2, but it's not true that the greater the co2 the bigger the plant's.

So if this was true then co2 wouldn't be rising, but it is.

Next depending where co2 is in the atmosphere, then the excess amount takes between 300-1000 years to be used.

What it does show you is that since humans have walked the earth and for some time before, co2 has never been as high as it has today.

Lastly the deniers out there talk about 400ppm being a small amount.

The reason is at current levels it only starts to increase, as the plants and oceans cannot deal with the excess.

We already see that the excess is causing extreme weather conditions.

We are probably less than forty years away from drastic crop failure around the world, leading to mass starvation.
