RE: Sounds Promising -$6 to $165 Nov 2024 18:12
Positive progress. Lots of detail required. Opex costs of production have always been way below $16 (last guidance prior to shutdown was about $4.20 per barrel). I can't recall transport costs. How will capex be treated? It isn't a cost of current production but rather an investment in future production (at a minimum to keep production constant and, hopefully, more to achieve the growth we all crave). Current cost recovery (opex, direct Shaikan G&A, and the recovery of the CRP) excluding transportation is also below $16 - circa $10 a barrel. Everything hinges on the treatment of capex (speed of recovery) and the agreed FDP (speed of incurrence).
