The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
JBS - I meant the shorting site was closed: the other site(s) were almost permanently closed lol.
Hi JBS - I looked at 16.48 and it was closed for updating so I waited a minute - now all we need is an RNS.
8 hours of misery then 5 mins excitement - its like being married again.
Looks like a couple reductions and North Capital Management closed totally - now just 8 firms shorting.
to 8.16% - big drop. Thank fuc k.
We have had a couple of Janhgo's during business hours too - so anytime but definitely due.......The price shot up with good reason today and was just squashed for obvious reasons - the price fluctuation was circa 14% - the volume was about the 4th/5th highest in years - the sp then stayed almost totally flat for 5 hours - total, utter manipulation.
Agreed Kj - hasnt moved for two hours - a share this volatile! Makes me sick how blatant it is but the FCA obviously doesnt give a shi t because they all have their snouts in the same trough.
this early in the day - last time this happened it was Jangho first and second buys. Check out the chart for dates and volume.
Thats the only realistic explanation for today after all the very good news from every angle.
is going to be very high today - the last time the volume was very high it was when Jangho bought their first two tranches. To me that indicates shares are being syphoned off to Jangho again. Time will tell.
Yeah - the drop today is, ultimately, for our own good - we know, with no doubt at all, that its to allow Jangho, Polaris etc, etc to accumulate; we have seen it for weeks. It sucks, as on a level playing field (as if!) we would be in the 90s now. With nothing but very positive news now days we are still at 25% of our 52wk price - should be illegal and probably is but thats the market. It cant last - follow the big money.
Cheers Bolox, you too - we are all paid up members of the Mooky Mouse club mate.
currently revving up for a good open in an hour. Also high volume here today for this time of the day: maybe held back to facilitate our new Chinese mates buying this morning. Anyways, we shall see.
I read yesterday, cant recall site, that Warner releasing Tenet box office figures Sunday night - its a pity we are closed here Monday.
AMC could, to an extent, be shorts closing - Forbes stated that at 31 July they were shorted 16% (well they didnt actually as the figure was much, much higher as Forbes used free float %) - when converted to % of shares in issue it worked out to16%. Just been trying to find accurate current figures but could not except Marketwatch, I think, that said shorts were down by 3.57% in mid August. If someone can find a current AMC short figure that might explain more.
Either way: we have had rises that big too - remember, lol. Also if they all go up thats great - cinema chains going up is great; we know our turn will come, to a certain extent it already has - much more to come.
I have always been convinced that in vest stroid and in depth wins are one and the same. They only crossed over very briefly and have the very same ego traits and posting styles. Also investroid was far to narcisistic to just pack it in. I have never seen two individuals with the same relentless long cut and paste styles to that extent. Same person in my opinion.
Lol - Hi Purch, yeah - I have been addicted for a long while. 100,000 + (shares, not quids). Its great having that many now - it wasnt too good over the last few months though. Speech is 2pm our time - 9am USA. Plenty of time for the Dow to digest and act accordingly. Only my opinion but I think the futures will be a few 100 points up at least. My very biased, but honest opinion, 64 to close with more tomorrow.
Hi JBS - you know me - all eggs in one basket (basket case?) - no more money going in from me even though I would love to. Holding a crazy amount, as ever.
all day yesterday - all global markets trading sideways in a holding pattern waiting for Powells speech at the annual Jackson Hole conference. Consensus from those in the know - Bloomberg, Reuters etc - is it will be a groundbreaking speech - he certainly will not want to upset the apple cart with their election imminent. In reality, the financial markets know it will be very good news but are being cautious. Speech scheduled for 1pm approx GMT so Dow futures should fly - so will we.
So another percent in nice sticky hands. Excellent.
Polaris has taken another %1 - they have held 5% forever so thats great.
