Rocket Man, as you like trawling through people's old posts why don't you go through yours and count up the amount of times you have incorrectly called the imminent release of the commercial production RNS and report back on here? We all fancy a laugh. I suppose even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Rocket Man is that another one of your awful forecasts?! You don't have a clue mate - complete guesswork. Hitting commercial production here (60% average) is more a reflection of failure here rather than an achievement. When (if ever) are they going to get to full commercial production? 2025 was being suggested at the recent presentation. They good news just keeps on coming here, lol.

Nigel, what has October got to do with it? Q3 is July, August and September. So, just a few days left. Still no RNS so probable that HUM have not hit an average of 60% during the period. Simple fact is that Kou wins the award for the slowest and worst ramp up in history. The question people did to ask themselves is what is the underlying cause/ issue behind this disaster?!

Precisely Nigel, HUM have not yet averaged 60% during Q3. Exactly what I have been saying. Thanks for the 'clarification'!

Yeo, IR making it clear that when they announce commercial production it will be less than 8-10 oz per month: 'While a nominal value for commercial production is around 8-10koz per month, this can be lower if the operational requirements are not met consistently.'

And don't get me started on Yan. With falling grades and recovery rates and the worst rainy season for years ther won't have been much of an improvement on Q2's aisc of $2598.

BPat, get a grip mate. Do some research. Commercial production is 60% of full commercial production. They haven't announced commercial production so they have not hit 60% yet. It depends whether they are using 100k oz pa or the planned first year or two of 120k oz pa but both scenarios equal 15k oz per quarter or 18k oz per quarter at 60%. They are not at 60% yet so it will be either less than 15k oz or less than 18k oz. So, keeping in mind that July produced 4800 oz (14,400 for q3 if replicated for the three months). Clearly ramp up is preceding at a snail's pace and it is evident that something isn't right. Whatever the reason for the extraordinarily slow ramp up it should become clear when the Q3 results are published along with DB's list of excuses. My bet (based on the comments from IR) is that they can't afford to hire enough equipment to do the job properly).

No improvement in Q3 is happening, the last RNS made that clear: "Looking ahead, our priority remains on delivering profitable production and value for our shareholders. With Kouroussa nearing commercial production and the ongoing optimisation programme at Yanfolila, we are confident in delivering improved production in the last quarter of the year."

Oh dear, old Danny Boy is preparing you all for the disaster that q3 will be. I have been telling you that losses will be piling up and that statement effectively confirms it. More jam tomorrow being promised in q4. You couldn't make this up. Get out whilst you still can. Kou still not even at commercial production (60%) let alone full commercial. Comically bad.

Er, any assessments such as that are based on HUM's own projections regarding aisc and production but obviously there is one big problem with that! HUM hardly ever delivers on its promises. You watch - Q3 will be a disaster.

Betts will be leafing through his book of excuses as we speak. As bonker pointed out he even came up with 'market headwinds' as an excuse when gold has soared to an all time high. Keep looking Danny Boy, I am sure there are a better ones than that in your book!!

Absolutely. That has already been highlighted yesterday. Q3 will be a disaster and might well lead to an emergency placing - particularly if something happens to the Dugbe sale which might just about keep the lights on for a bit longer. It is clear that they are struggling big time to get the expected ounces from Kou (for reasons not yet fully explained).

I certainly wouldn't want to be holding these shares when the horror show of the Q3 results are published.

BPat890 you have no idea what the aisc is so your figures mean nothing (probably ambitious anyway). The aisc will be sky high due to poor production and the rainy season.

'Regarding commercial production, we are making progress, but we still need to reach certain levels of operational readiness, including equipment usage'!! Basically an admission that they don't have enough machinery on site to hit commercial production - almost certainly because they can't afford it. This is worse than even I imagined. Q3 is going to be a disaster!
