Bushy posts something put on a different site claiming that KOU will produce 20800 oz in q3. What a load of cobblers. Full commercial production is only targeting 100k oz pa according to the presenter which is 25k oz per quarter. HUM hasn't reached commercial production yet which is being targeted for the end of q3. Commercial production is 60% of 'full commercial production' (which is being targeted for end of q4/q1 2025 according to the presenter). So Kou hasn't even hit 60% yet and would have been a lot lower than that at the start of q3. So, on those figures 15,000 oz will be the most KOU does in q3 but likely to be less as 15,000 is 60%. That rate of production will mean a much higher aisc this quarter than anticipated. Not good.

This is the definition of commercial production: 'Start of Commercial Production means the first day of the first 90-day period throughout which a Mine or Quarry operates at least at 60% of its rated capacity.'

So, as HUM is not yet at commercial production let alone full commercial production (which won't happen until end 2024 or early 2025 according to the presentation) that means KOU hasn't even hit 60% of its full run rate. Do the maths - q3 will be dire and the aisc much higher than the projected figures for full production.

For those that appreciate a laugh, here is a snippet from Dan's RNS put out in Janauary 2024:

'Following delivery of fuel to the Kouroussa Gold Mine over the past few days, mining operations at the site are restarting shortly and are expected to ramp up to full capacity levels over the coming weeks.

During the suspension of mining operations, the Company has completed several initiatives to improve ramp-up performance, including grade control drilling and dewatering of the operation, and has conducted additional training at the Kouroussa Mine. The Company remains focused on reaching full commercial production in Q1-2024.'

SpaceHoppa, note the reference to 'full commercial production'. Only at least nine months out!!

If you listened to the mad rampers on here you would have been expecting the 'commercial RNS' within ten days (being said a week ago)!! Yeah definitely!!

Just listened to the presentation and had to laugh!! Betts couldn't make it because he was too busy trying to sort out the mess in Africa, so he sent some junior along to do it for him (probably too embarrassed to turn up). So despite having been promised full commercial production at Kou in q1 2024 (no!), then q2 2024 (no!), then q3 2024 (no!) and then q4 2024, we are now informed that they are targeting it by late 2024 OR early 2025!! OMG what the hell is going on here? Is this the slowest and worst ramp up in history?! Why is this so difficult? Betts must be in Africa to sort out the financial black hole all these delays have brought about. What's the betting he is sorting out a placing, or extra help from Coris?

SpaceHoppa, fine if guidance is met but I don't believe any of HUM's guidance because history shows it rarely matches reality. Looking at the awful volumes traded this week it looks like the market doesn't believe the guidance either.

Yep, most of! Probably all of KOU production so what will the all important aisc be for Yan? $2598 last quarter and this quarter saw a heavy rainy season. I suspect the KOU aisc will be high this quarter too (not fully ramped up, still mining lower grades and the rainy season).

Irrelevant when your genius CEO has hedged most of your production at $500 lower when just about everyone was predicting a much higher gold price.

Err the aisc was $2598 at Yan last quarter! Let's see how they have been getting on in q3. My money is on it having been another disaster.

Guidance, guidance guidance!! When has guidance ever been met here? Dream on. Once Dugbe is sold for buttons the life of mine will be five years for the other two 'mines'. Hum is small fry. Both mines are underperforming because HUM bought two duds on the cheap, because the sellers couldn't wait to get rid of them. The sellers of Yanfolia got it right - they knew it would never make any money.

Volume remains awful here, clearly nobody is interested in this pile of dung.. I wonder what Danny Boy has in store for shareholders tomorrow?!

Guidance/presentations are not worth the paper they are written on. At the start of 2024 the guidance for 2024 was 165,000 to 200,000 oz but by the end of q2 we had this beauty:

With progress at Kouroussa and performance at Yanfolila, the Company has updated its FY-2024 Group guidance to 115,000 - 145,000 oz at an AISC below US$1,500:'

You can almost guarantee that the latest targets will be missed too.

Do you realise how daft you are Mostyn?! This company is supposed to be producing 50k oz per quarter. They have supposedly (let's actually see the final figures) produced 36k precisely because it is the rainy season you clown. Let's see what the all important aisc numbers are for q3. I strongly suspect they will be much higher than peeps like you expect.

As for the Dugbe sale (if it happens) it will go on the cheap and will take most of the company reserves with it. HUM will be left with a paltry 1 million oz reserve across two mines, giving a LOM of five years at 200k oz pa. That basically means it is a tin pot gold outfit and will be priced as such. Dream on fellas!
