dpg78 you would not be putting more money in, in fact you might even make a small profit from such a transaction. Maybe you don't actually hold shares currently?

DDD if the fund raise is successful I am pretty sure the sp will rise signigicantly as people take a position hoping to cash in on a higher sale price

errr sell a sixth at 16p and buy back at 15p!! You are left with roughly the same number of shares and you contribute to the fund raise. A failed fund raise isn't going to help share holders is it?

I agree with you about the sudden volte face about funding but I suppose this may be explained by the US sanctions which seems to have caused them to fill their pants

Yep Onion Head's tactics have been dire frankly. He mistakenly believes he is a master tactician by the way! If the plan was to sell (which I think always was the plan) he should have done much more drilling over the years to prove up at least 5 million oz. The 6 million spent on a sag mill could have been spent on drilling ! He always justified not drilling because the market didn't give any lift to the sp after good drill results. That may have been true but now we are up for sale those extra ounces would have made a big difference rather than Nicaraguan Fairy Tales about a 14 million ounce District.

What we don't want is Onion Head deciding to invest the proceeds in drilling up Rio Luna and enjoying another 17 years of bumper salary!

Like you I don't have much faith in Onion Head and a good part of me is readying itself to be cucumbered. I do have a bit more hope that Jim can do something positive. The thing to consider is what will happen if the fund raise fails. I could lead to the winding up of the company. If you are holding shares but don't want to increase your exposure it is best to sell a sixth of your holding and buy them back at 15p in the open offer. At least that way the company gets the funds it needs and can at least see through the bidding period without going belly up.

Reasonable tester but that way you are not supporting the company. Better to have sold a sixth and buy them back at 15p in the offer if you feel Onion Head is worth your support

DDD thanks for that. What we don't need is for Onion Head to decide that the best way to use any sale proceeds is to develop Rio Luna. A good project potentially but God help us!

Someone big seems to be selling today - hopefully selling a sixth to buy back at 15p. Glad I sold my sixth at over 19p now. Probably should have sold the lot but I still have some faith that onion head and Jim can get us above 40p
