elgordo I agree that the market doesn't currently seem to care much - you just have to look at the current sp. We are talking more about the price a potential buyer may have to pay to secure CNR. I am confident that the massive blue sky resource here will mean they will have to pay more. We don't have to sell (I am more than happy for us to go into production and prove the resource up later paid by earnings). If however someone wants to buy it will be based on more than the 2.3 million oz resource.

Seingred no one is saying that they will have to pay for 14m oz! However, it is obvious that the potential buyer of CNR will have to pay more for the potential here. You offer Calibre as an example - can you let us know what the forecast was for the future potential resource when they bought those mines? Or, perhaps the exploration has been done subsequently?

I repeat - they are NOT 'unsubstantiated totally unproven resources'. There is plenty of evidence to support their existence and that will be taken into account should anyone decide to buy the company. I am certainly not suggesting that it will make much impact on the sp currently, although it may attract a few more shareholders.

CCC. yes definitely. It is ludicrous to suggest that having an additional 12 million oz blue sky potential will make no difference to a sale price. CNR has collected vast amounts of data over the years and have done airborne mapping and rock chipping/soil sampling over considerable areas. Top geologists have also been brought in to examine the data and to work out how the system of veins was created, where they all flow etc. They now have an excellent understanding of all this and hence the confidence that there is an additional 12 million oz. This data can all be shown to other geologists involved with 'kicking the tyres hard' who will in all likelihood will draw similar conclusions from the same data. Obviously these blue sky ounces will not have the same value as proven ounces (via drilling) but to suggest they are of no value at all when it comes to selling the company is laughable.

888, don't forget Mark's latest estimate is 14 million oz!. Seingred, whilst I agree that these estimates of 14 million oz are not currently doing much for the sp I certainly don't agree with you that they are pretty irrelevant. If Mark and the team can show to a reasonably high degree of probability to geologists from potential bidders that 14 million oz exists then that makes a massive difference to the price that they will have to pay to acquire CNR. No doubt about that. It is no coincidence that Mark is now ramping up his estimates at this particular moment.

Also it should be pretty obvious that the geologists think the grades will be much higher than 3g/t if they are talking about 14 million ounces of gold.

The actual figures were - 'The La India Project hosts the historic La India Gold Mine which processed an estimated 1.7Mt at 13.4g/t for 576,000oz Au between 1938 and 1956, the majority of the production under the ownership of Canadian mining company Noranda Inc. At the height of production in 1953, mine records show an annual production of 41,861 oz gold at a grade of 0.3442 oz/ton (11.8 g/t) and 39,282 oz silver (equivalent to 11.0 g/t).'

Seingred - 3g/t is probably conservative. The only reason La India open pit is 3 g/t is that Noranda mined most of the high grade stuff out, otherwise it would be much higher. From memory it was roughly 8g/t (possibly 12g/t - my memory is fading!) being mined back in the day. It is highly likely that if CNR find the Cacao vein that it will be of similar grade to the original untouched La India vein - significantly higher than 3 g/t.

Old MC is certainly working hard to big up the project and put us firmly in the window to attract one of the bigger players. Who was it that was 'kicking the tyres hard'? I am wondering whether the 3-4 months timescale for financing is more to do with seeing if a bid can be attracted first - either to accept or simply to boost the sp prior to financing. Interesting days/weeks ahead for sure.

Having listened to that it is worth noting that the new blue sky theory is that there is 12 million oz in addition to the current 2.3m oz resource, so the total projected theoretical resource is 14 million oz. Not bad! remind me what are current M'cap is!! These shares are an absolute bargain currently for those prepared to show a little bit of patience.

Thanks tester, great to read all that. As you say it must be a big outfit that is kicking those tyres hard. Just a matter of time before a bid comes in IMO. 10 million oz now, haha. Quite a district - very few 10 million oz deposits at circa 3g/t. Boom times, they are coming ;-)

I see that the Master Investor blurb refers to CNR's potential for producing copper as well as gold. It would be good to hear more about that.
