Mizman - Joanna Churchill's statement is exactly what my post is referring to.

It is all spin, talks about the companies working together (ie do deals with each other, not with the govt). Does NOT indicate at all that the govt will do business with us.

Unlike many others here, I read that govt statement very negatively.
- typical spin, read carefully what it does and doesn’t say
- it does not in any way talk about govt buying from ODX or the others
- rather it talks about ability / capacity
- it talks about the companies mentioned working together, not working with the govt
- this statement allows govt to carry on its claim it is supporting UK diagnostic industry, whilst not spending with them

To me this is solid proof the govt have no intention of fulfilling the contract, other than the absolute minimum it is contracted to (and that is if it doesn’t renege on it, as they have done with ncyt and Abingdon)

With govt announcements you need to look carefully at what words they use and what they don’t use. They are masters of spin, creating statements that on first glance sound positive until you read it critically a 2nd or 3rd time.

I suspect that with all the goings on at DHSC and media uproar, Colin has been told in no uncertain terms that there must be zero communications on DHSC contracts until official news. Very strict applications of NDAs.

I think he is in a very difficult position communications wise. And to be honest I prefer having no silly tweets. It was all a bit amateur and badly done. Plus in bad taste during a pandemic. Yes, PIs are here to make money but no need to boast about that to general public on Twitter. You wouldn’t catch a big pharma doing anything so crass.

I’m happy to wait til mid July. Am in the red, but fairly sure all will come good long term. Testing is here to stay.

Yes, Wimbledon was officially made a part of the govt pilot events programme. Just like Wembley Final, some snooker events, comedy nights etc. There’s been quite a few of these govt pilot events going on for a while.

This week at Wimbledon it is 50% Of normal capacity. Finals in 2 weeks will be 100%

I’m a big tennis fan but On immuno suppressants so im not taking the risk by going.

I can’t tell you that several consultants I’ve seen recently have all said that with AZ you get the side effects strongest with 1st jab, hardly any with 2nd. With Pfizer it’s the other way round.

I had mild 24 hours side effects with AZ 1st jab, none with 2nd jab.

Can anyone help me understand why the ABDX spread is so big? Surely the spread should be no more than 1 or 2% at most?

My other AIM shares don’t have such a big spread. And is ABDX always like this, or is it only a blip?

If I were to buy some more shares (already got a small amount), I’d instantly be down by several percent.

I assume it’s more about trying to distract media from Boris performance at PMQs. But you never know could be something of interest in what Han**** has to say.
( I suspect it won’t be along the lines of we’ve screwed over one of our Great British diagnostic companies, but now they’ve got a great new test for Indian variants, we’re sticking to our original contract promise).

I have to sell some TLW in one account and then re-buy in another platform, and want to make sure I don’t get my timings wrong.

I’ve listened to many radio reports with people from UK talking about how they paid online for a fake negative covid test certificate before going abroad to places where negative tests are needed on entry.

I imagine it’s even more rife in places like India. Those people were probably desperate to get out of India and into Hong Kong, and may have known they were ill but didn’t care about iniactbon others, so bought a faked test result
