Tony - in response, yes your charting info and your kind explanations to me as a novice investor we’re very useful. I didn’t buy any more that day (wish I had!), because I already have a LOT of my SIPP and a whole year’s ISA in this share. But your analysis added to my courage in holding on whilst in the red. I’m learning about investments but don’t understand charts. If you don’t mind correcting my below understanding of what you’re saying below? My very basic take-out of your analysis is that between now and Fri/Mon:
- unlikely to dip below 94 (today’s close) as that is support
- may go up to 98 or even 102
- if we breach 102 markets could take it higher. But then some will want to take their profits and sell, which could bring it back down to 102 again (or is it back to 94 again?)

Thanks if you can give me any pointers on what I’ve correctly understood or misunderstood? I won’t attempt to understand your 2nd section on 3 months yet, baby steps! Thanks in advance,

Early on in the pandemic I read about the Wuhan lab - that several years ago an employee was found to have been selling off the animals once they’d been used in the experiments, to earn extra money. So it’s not a new issue either.

Oh and look who replied to Eric Topol’s tweet about interferon? Rockefeller research labs (Casanova labs tweet handle).

A few very rare examples of cats having covid (tiger in US, cat in Netherlands, cat in Asia too - can;t remember which country) But don't think any of these few cases have shown transmission of covid from cats to any other species.

But who knows what the future holds ... Again, I highly recommend David Attenborough's one-off episode Extinction on iPlayer - great explanation of how these animal to human pandemics happen.

SNG may well have most effect given very early on. And it would be great to get home trial results.

But even if it had a very good (but slightly lower) effect on symptoms, for those further advanced in symptoms I.e. hospitalised, this is where it will save the most lives. This is where it will have most impact on mortality. These are the patients where if their symptoms worsen they end up on a ventilator.

So this is where the drugs will have most effect, and where hospitals are most likely to deploy an expensive drug.

If the consensus on this board is right, as the focus is more and more US-based, what’s the betting our “advisor” is one of the US firms on the link Oxford posted? More likely a JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs than a Nomura ...

Yes and then when Winter recedes in US, Canada and UK, it starts for Aus, NZ, South Africa, South America.

SNG can be there to save lives and economies whenever countries head into Winter ??

Remember also: it’s always Winter somewhere in the world. High hospitalisation in Northern hemisphere until March;

then winter kicks in for Southern Hemisphere. Possible demand in Aus, NZ, South Africa (remember their interest in SNG few months back?), plus South America, and many other countries. Of course pricing would need to be adjusted according to certain countries ability to pay, perhaps facilitated by WHO or GAVI type organisations.

Only worry is if they fail because of the lower efficacy and greater side effects associated with sub-cutaneous injection (versus our nebulised version which has minimal side effects) - then there may be some poor journalism again stating that interferon treatments don't work. We saw this previously, where journalists just picked up on the negatives (I think from a WHO injected interferon trial) and the journos just wrongly applied it broad brush to any interferon treatments.

BTW - has anyone read the book "I Think You'll Find It's a Bit More Complicated Than That" - all about poor journalism around science. A good one to put on your wishlist letter to Father Christmas!

So the document says 95m shares at 96 pence, that is £91m value?

Have I got that right? Or do I remember from some posts a few weeks back that there are other shares already existing privately held on top of these 95m new shares? Grateful if anyone can remind me.

Not necessarily bad to include Aspirin (though we’d all love SNG to be on there too).

Aspirin is already used to make blood less sticky and prevent strokes, heart attacks etc. If they could safely prove via recovery trial and hard stats that Aspirin prevents covid patients’ blood becoming sticky it could genuinely save lives, and save severe neurological disability from covid. And yes it’s cheap too! Would love to see SNG included but let’s not knock everything else just because it hurts us.

Excellent explanation of the link between animals and viruses (and climate change too). One of the examples was whenever a new area of deep rainforest is industrialised, there’s a group of loggers who go in first, before any infrastructure is set-up: they have no electricity, no water supply, no food supply. Often these first explorers survive on bush meat (no fault of theirs, just the very tough lifestyle they have to live in that environment). And this is where viruses often start, as we know. And then later on when the forest is further destroyed, more and more animals move out towards urban areas, again increasing the risk of viruses.

Of course the wonderful Sir David tells it so much better than I. Do watch it over Christmas if you can find it on iPlayer - was broadcast this year.

Just not worth taking the risk in my view, as a woman myself! We've seen the horrific case of Primodos and appaling government and pharma cover-up (as someone on here whose sister was sadly affected posted about in recent weeks)
