Swanley, I posted a while back about the Gold Miner's index about a month back but nobody was interested in discussing it! In a nutshell the benchmark index has changed from NYSE Arca Gold Miners to MarketVector Global Gold Miners Index.

To be eligible for the Index,

(i) companies bust generate at least 50% of their revenue from gold or silver mining/royalties/streaming, or have at least 50% of their mineral resources related to gold and or silver.

(ii) all stocks must have a market capitalisation of greater than $150m at the end of the month prior to the month in which rebalancing occurs.
