Newmont only forge relationships with Juniors where they think,following work carried out by them, that the prize will at least be 5m plus ozs. Remember they acquired only 250000 shares in June and exactly 3 months later in September 19.9% . None of us are privy to the work they must have performed in those 3 months which led them to increase their stake in Omi. Juniors can only dream of world's major player enter into farm in agreement with them.

Indeed MP - a real possibility. Would push up the share price at a totally different level. Wonderful things to come here and long term holders will be rewarded handsomely.

Agree Silver. Hope the fundamentals will see us through this. Other exploration companies are desperate to get the likes of Newmont on board and having a farm in agreement.

Hotdoggy Newmont decided to go to bed with Omi for no reason. The Auditors are required to state regarding going concern in all the companies they audit. "..ability to obtain adequate financing.." - Omi has taken an aggressive approach as regards financing by signing a deal with Newmont based on Anza potential. "..to reach profitable levels of operations.." - per Edison Investment Research and Advisory : " We understand from management this deal has followed a number of site visit trips by NEM's staff to ANZA highlighting NEM's early confidence in ANZA being able to yield a mineral resource of suitable size and grade for it to develop ( i.e in the order of 3 to 4 Moz Au) with anything smaller likely returned to, and benefiting OMI considerably in the long term ". So the the question of future profitability does not arise. Just think why would Newmont acquire 250000 shares in June and then only 3 months later end up buying 19.9%? As per latest financial statements, certain unsecured creditors are not included in the Statement " on the basis that LORYSER IS NOT GOING TO BE LIQUIDATED". "Loryser striving to get a fair and balanced outcome for all parties " with a view to EXITING CREDITOR PROTECTION QUICKLY AND EFFECTIVELY".

Even Maxit Capital taking 3,477,581 shares in Omi in consideration of transaction fees relating to deal with Newmont - says it all.

I should have listened to my gut instincts when prior to Newmont's 19.9 % investment, Omi had announced that a small amount US$250k was raised from a 'Sophisticated International Mining Company' at more than double what they were trading at. I did not get in at the time as I was too bogged down with the other exploration company. SP Angel at the time had said that " the investment from the unnamed mining company UNDERLINES THE CREDIBILITY OF THE ANZA AREA as an exploration target and, IF CONTINUING EXPLORATION IS SUCCESSFUL, maywell prove to be simply a first step in a closer long term relationship". This investment was on June 9th. Exactly three months later in September we have Newmont acquiring a further 29.2m shares. Note the words from SP Angel " IF CONTINUING EXPLORATION IS SUCCESSFUL" . So between the first tranch and prior to the second, Newmont MUST have carried out their own work which has led to them acquiring 19.9 %. This is the reason why I believe the investment case is so strong here.
