RE: Variant busting jabs - not before mid-2023.16 Dec 2021 17:13
From my previous limited knowledge Polyvalent respiratory virus vaccines is that they have been successful in pig and cattle diseases. Whitty says they will be available in 18 months I can see the rationale for such an approach having a polyvalent vaccine for say Beta Delta Omicron, whether they will be mRNA based I am not sure but will the usual caveats still exist with this challenging virus? Waning efficacy, boosters required and rapid emergence of novel variants by passing the vaccines. Sng001 will be a very significant therapeutic in Whitty’s call to arms because it is broad spectrum agnostic, we all know interferon beta has evolved to protect bats against many hundreds of coronavirus mutations. Also inhaled interferon replenishes interferon deficiency of the innate immune as result of the virus infection ,genetics and autoantibodies filling shortfall of the adaptive immune system induced by vaccines
