Just come across some very interesting research to make Richard aware of the therapeutic use of IFNs in tackling Legionella pneumonia bacterial infection and also with regards to a significant recent outbreak in Argentina .This may be useful to mention briefly at the AMC this week Also IFNs are found to be effective against antibiotic resistant bacteria.

Yes I agree , but its seems like a duplication of the Sprinter deep dive where the most vulnerable subgroup data benefit most of all because of comorbidity age , gender interferon deficiency etc ? Hopefully they will test for autoabs might identify another specific group which they should have done in Sprinter and we still await immunological data to be released from Activ 2

The Universal trial is very welcome But we still need the Activ 2 data , long covid data ,AMC news from RM and another PT to get this treatment into patients this Winter

Hopefully they will they be taking blood samples this time etc to investigate different biomarkers as predictors of disease in susceptible sub group of patients for different viruses like influenza RSV PI3 which could include auto antibodies Janssen will be interested as this will fill the the Vaccine GAP where vaccines fail to work in these patients with auto antibodies

Anti-microbial resistance generally happens as a result of antibiotic over use What will RM have to offer ? There is evidence that alternative pulmonary therapy using interferon beta activates neutrophils which combat infection The use of steroids (dexamethasone) causes black fungus diseases because of immunosuppression wheres interferon beta does not and moreover protease inhibitors etc induce viral resistance whereas interferon beta does not imo GLA

Its just academia. If the LC produces a negative or inconclusive data still it is still worthy of publication and produces sustenance for P Monk et al to disseminate across the world's scientific community but of course it not good for share holders
