A poster was asking about “non clinical “ this article gives a good account in drug development .It makes feel uncomfortable to what the RNS could be alluding towards or it may be a case of MHRA demanding as they do on more drug safety data and quality assurance

The company has not received a formal letter of non acceptance
MHRA wants (my words now )to review the GLP of non clinical data
I have worked in an accredited UKAS laboratory and this could be just some non compliances in administration or laboratory procedures or even staff training .Providing the company can provide "support " which is in my view evidence that procedures have been as per standard operating procedure (SOP) the problem can be overcome quickly .I am sure SAR is a fully accredited research lab and perhaps the researcher are too focussed on the science and let the mundane paper work slip It does appear to be an over reaction to this news imo

"The full analysis, including several patient-reported outcome measures, which is ongoing, will be presented in October at IDWeek 2022 and submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal"
The statement is ambiguous to me and Manifesto could be forgiven for misinterpretation .

There was a posting that mentioned Long Covid would decline now the Delta virus is now replaced by the less virulent omicron variant not sure if this the case when you look at the post viral illnesses ME/CFS even before the pandemic began. LC symptoms and ME/CFS have indistinguishably symptoms and affect millions of people and treatments and clinical trials desperately need .This I feel this may be something like the clinical paths which RM may be thinking about which may be in the form of an investigator sponsored trial similar to Evgen's licensing deal for their drug up to $160.5m from a Swiss company for ASD clinical trials . imho

Feels like interferon (impaired ) may be responsible for he greatest medical challenges of our time.

Probably imo / hypothesis is the common denominator to explain the pathogenesis of LC = autoantibodies or anything that could impair interferon .Synairgen has demonstrated this in their LC data treating patients with sng001 ameliorates these impairments I feel LC is going to be a great opportunity to get SNG out of the doldrums Here's hoping

Agree it was a good thought by Paladin even though the arrow was and not quite on target for this group , then Synairgen should raise awareness to Gov MHRA and Campaigners if Evusheld becomes unavailable that they potentially have a treatment to protect the most vulnerable if infected from Covid and to protect them from long Covid . Time now to be more proactive ."Better than nothing" ? We know it works !

Synairgen are on the front foot with the LC data now just as they were in 2020 with the P2 data .They must not let this opportunity go .The pending Activ immunological data has taken a long time to be shared , given that it does take that long to test a blood sample Not sure what other data is in the pipe line in the short term other than perhaps some more from P Monk at ID conference I think we have sufficient LC data ,safety data , mortality reduction data ,viral clearance data, broad spectrum antiviral data , secondary bacterial pulmonary infection suppression and the ability to identify susceptible phenotype etc to warrant an EUA specifically in this LC sub group as there in no other preventative LC treatment to combat the next wave it would be immoral not too , a quest which Synairgen must pursue with pace

The LC data is unique and statistically significant and just putting aside the failure of Sprinter achieving those primary end points which were insisted and presupposed incorrectly by the regulators imo . Then, as I posted yesterday from JAMA data that 6% of of the population of one and half million or so tells us that the most severe COVID cases go on to develop LC (this corresponds to our sub group targeted in the Sprinter data ).Thus the Sprinter data not only found to be effective in prevention of develop LC it also shown a reduction 70% in mortality above placebo and SOC in this sub group.Not going to bang on about Activ data and further immunological LC data still pending for some reason Not only have we demonstrate effectiveness in LC and reduction mortality we know the science behind given the evidence of autoantibodies, interferon impairment etc etc etc ad infinitum Synairgen should be pushing forward now especially on LC data GLA
